Any Obama victory can already be branded as illigitimate without even contemplating whatever fradulent voting tactics were used on his behalf.

We are talking about the supposedly objective 4th Estate shamelessly allowing themselves to become a vital cog in the machinery of a partisan political campaign. Even the Kerry campaign did not enjoy nearly as much partisanship on it's behalf from the mainstream media.

Yes, you're right that the Black Panther have a place in America (jail) and certain rights, the same as that which is accorded to members of the Mafia or other criminal organizations.

It is good that the Black Panthers emerged from under their rocks because there are many people too young to remember what exactly they were about.

Despite the misleading claims some have made about providing "hot breakfasts to kids" (big deal, Hitler made the streetcars run on time) the Black Panthers back then always were (and obviously still are now) a criminal enterprise. They protected the narcotics trade and murdered political opponents. Their goals were of the anti-American, Marxist revolutionary variety. This organization has no place in the USA.
