REAL JOURNALISM ON MORNING JOE AGAIN
As is my habit, while getting ready for work this morning, I turned on Morning Joe and happened upon an interview with some healthcare expert whose name I did not catch. What caught my attention is that the interviewee sounded intelligent and sounded as if he actually had read the House bill and knew what he was talking about (he was not talking in soundbites). He was easy to distinguish from all the other talking heads I have heard on TV since he was intelligently discussing the healthcare issues.
Even more surprising and what really woke me up was Joe S. making factual salient points, i.e., drawing out from the interviewee that the Administration is talking a cost of $ 1 Trillion that is spread out over ten years, not per year.
I guess Joe S figured out that there won't be getting elected to anything in the future unless he starts acting smarter.
Whatever it takes to see some real journalism on TV, I'll take it.

I had no idea that people thought it was going to cost 1 trillion dollars per year.

Oh yes they did Viva. It is an old rove trick. Your purpose is to misdirect people like a cheap magician in a cheap Vegas hotel.
Then when you are called on it, confronted with your lies, you deny it.
But a portion of your audience still 'believes' the lie.
But with a portion of our population spouting claims of nazis, and genocide and conspiracy...
Why spend that much time on misdirection?

You watch Morning Joe. While I am glad to hear that he made a salient point. In my perception that show has been of the quality to qualify it as Fox News programming.

I am a news junkie and my choices are limited. The TV in the morning is usually to drown out my barking dogs. I agree with your central point. That is why the show caught my attention today,
