GOP gives Democrats massive wooden horse; Dems, Media applaud bipartisanship
WASHINGTON - Republicans shocked their Democratic counterparts today by wheeling a huge wooden horse into Congress. The horse was apparently left as a gift for Democrats, and could signal a truce in the hard-fought battle over health care.
"I think our calls for bi-partisanship have finally been answered," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. "We will not look this giant, wooden, heavier-than-it-should-be horse in the mouth."
Media reaction was mostly positive for the move. At the Washington Post, columnist David Broder hailed the move as "an act of sanity in a world gone mad. Hopefully now we can get back to real issues, like where we should eat."
At "The Weekly Standard," Editor William Kristol was similarly pleased: "This is a fantastic move for Sarah Palin."
Still, some far-left liberals have expressed concern that this might be yet another Republican trick. Reid dismissively waved off the skeptics.
"Stop being such Cassandras," said Reid. "We Democrats are excited about this gift, and will celebrate this great victory of bi-partisanship."

Judging the gullability of the D's one can only hope the R's are as inept at this trickery stuff as the English were with their rabbit.
Then we can hear the cries of "RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY!!!!"

There could be a whole parody version of that movie... for instance, Karl Rove and co. as the Black Knight:
KR&co: we're not dead yet!
Obama: you've lost the House, the Senate and the presidency.
KR&co: only a flesh wound!
Obama: what're you going to do, bleed on me?
KR&co: I'm invincible!
Obama: you're a loony!

Okay, the quality of these blogs are starting to worry me here. So just to be clear, when The Daily Show comes for you , under your current contractual obligations, we will not release you for anything under a $50 million transfer fee, or alternatively a trade for Jason Jones and John Oliver. We can also throw in Libertine...

Thanks, that's very nice :)
Of course, unless you are an agent, you have no power to make this happen. So essentially, you are giving me false hopes. I find that rather cruel.

Radosh just got picked up. Hence my worry they'll pick you off as well. Just wanted you aware of your contractual obligations. Right there in White on White in the terms of use you accepted...
But now I just saw your new pic, and realize you are just Ricky Gervais 'disguised' in pink glasses. Nice try you bastud!

Sorry Lib. We're selling our best elements. Need the cash for DickDay's 'smokes','beer' and 'monthly visitors'. His expense account is costly...

HAHAHA...I am as flattered as Wolfrum that I would be mentioned in the same breath as him and Stewart. :)
Hey to help out DD I would waive my no trade clause in this specific case...beers, smokes and monthly 'visitors' can run a lot these days. But I would veto any proposed trade to Colbert's show.

Jesus, wolf, that was your best ever! Simple, and the Voices of the characters were best; especially Broder, "like whre we should eat."
No, kristol/palin; aw, shucks; it was brilliant.
The mind images were clear as glass.

That one was one of the best you've done yet, especially the part about real issues and this is good for Palin.
Sadly, none of this is really too far fetched.
Thanks for the laugh.

Brilliante Wolf! As the priest Laocoon said long ago "Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes" (Do not trust Greeks bearing gifts). In the words of the Prinzessin von Anhalt, Duchess of Saxony, better known as Zsa Zsa Gabor, "Bevare ye de large vooden Lobby Horse."
