Well, not really. But this is kinda funny.

Just a few minutes ago, I received an email from the Tea Party Nation about the recent closing of the blog hosting site Blogetery.com:

A few days ago, Geek.com and others reported that the Federal
Government had shut down blog hosting site, Blogetery.
The site that hosted
Blogetery stated they were contacted by the Federal Law Enforcement and
had little choice but to shut the site down immediately.
his action silenced
73,000 blogs.

Until this action
occurred, none of us at Tea Party Nation had even heard of this site. We do not know what
kind of blogs were hosted on this site, but we suspect they cover the
range from personal to political.

This is why the Tea
Party Movement needs to be involved immediately. The Obama regime has taken a very hostile attitude towards our
First Amendment rights. Is this a dry run the government is taking to
shut down sites that are critical of the regime?

We need to act. Call your Senators
and Congressmen today and demand that the Senate and the House
investigate which agency shut this site down and why. Email your friends
and ask them to call as well. We need an
explanation and we cannot let the regime off on this issue.

Along this line, Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan has said she
sees nothing wrong with the government suppressing speech the government
finds offensive. Given the regime's
attitude to the First Amendment, we must be vigilant.

Did you see the part where they wrote that they've never heard of the site, and they don't know what's on it, but that it must have some kind of personal opinion blogs, and that this is probably another attempt by the Obama administration to silence its critics?? Did you see that?

Well. here's a story about the incident, which these yahoos would have found in 5 seconds if they had the intellectual curiosity to look:

More details are surfacing about why Blogetery.com, a blogging platform
that claimed to service more than 70,000 blogs, was mysteriously booted
from the Internet by its Web-hosting company.

The site was shut down after FBI agents informed executives of
Burst.net, Blogetery's Web host, late on July 9 that links to al-Qaeda
materials were found on Blogetery's servers, according to Joe Marr,
chief technology officer for Burst.net.

But Marr said a Burst.net employee erred in telling Blogetery's operator
and members of the media that the FBI had ordered it to terminate
Blogetery's service. He said Burst.net did that on its own.

(...)

Marr said the FBI contacted them with a request for voluntary emergency
disclosure of information, a letter bringing to their attention that
terrorist material that presented a threat to the lives of Americans was
found on a server they hosted. FBI agents said they wanted specific
information about the people who posted the material immediately.

In the FBI's letter, the agency said that Web hosts and Internet service
providers may voluntarily elect to shut down customers who are involved
in these situations. The Burst.net employee who handled the request
believed that the FBI would want to seize the customers' server and thus
cut off service to Blogetery.

Marr said that regardless of the mix up, Blogetery's service was
terminated because bomb-making instructions and a "hit list" are an
obvious and absolute violation of its terms of service.

Amazing how purportedly rational adults can jump to such conclusions, isn't it? Now these nuts are on record as supporting terrorists. Nice job.

independence before the ICC. We assist counsel to speak in a strong and
unified voice regarding issues which affect their practice such as
Ethics, Legal Aid and Training. Together, we defend one essential
principle: to guarantee an equitable trial to victims and accused

Taitz has also supplied her mouth-breathers, I mean followers, with the email address to the ICC, and has asked them to demand an investigation and prosecution of Pres. Obama for war crimes. So I imagine the folks whose job it is to read these things will be getting a lot of experience with the "delete" key.

Really, is there no end to this woman's delusions?

Keep the faith.
She refers to her registration number as her "bar number."

You know, with Orly's obvious aversion to doing even the most basic research before she writes something, and a stunning lack of intellectual honesty or curiosity, I'm beginning to wonder if she isn't Michael Savage in drag.

Keep the faith.

      But what else is new?

Here's her take on US District Court Judge Roger Vinson;s order of April 8, in which he denies her motion to intervene in the cases filed by 13 US Attorneys General against the new health care reform legislation:

Orly Taitz Judge Vinson in FL states: ""As
a Doctor of Dental Surgery, who will be affected by the Act, she
clearly has an interest in the subject of this action"- he indicates
standing, which was viled as a judicial notice in DC

(I'm assuming she meant "filed" rather than "viled," but, considering her history, what a slip, huh?)

Now, she's filed a motion befor Judge Royce C. Lamberth in D.C. -- in another of her birther cases -- to take judicial notice of what she claims the Vinson decision means, namely that she has "standing" to pursue her claim that President Obama is a usurping Marxist who was not legitimately elected to his office. Standing is important, because Obama's lawyers are asking Lamberth to dismiss her claim because she does not have standing to file it.

But as usual, this mail-order lawyer either doesn't understand Vinson's order, or is deliberately misrepresenting it to achieve her desired ends. (That's a nice way of saying she's lying). I note that in her motion to Lamberth, she references including Vinson's order as an exhibit, but the exhibit is not attached (at least in the version on Scribd).

The snippet that Taitz provides in her Facebook post and in her motion to Lamberth is, of itself, accurate; Vinson did write that. But she neglects to include the context. Vinson writes about the four-pronged test that judges use in determining whether to allow an intervenor in a suit. He says that while Taitz satisfies the first two, she fails in three and four.

With respect to the impairment of interest (step 3), Taitz contends that her legal interests will be "immensely" and "significantly" hampered because there is the "risk that conflicting results may be achieved in the DC and Northern Florida Districts." However, the mere possibility of inconsistent results in cases filed by different individuals in different districts does not, by itself, hamper or impair a litigant's legal interests.

As for the fourth prong:

Moreover, Taitz has not shown that her legal interests will be represented inadequately by the existing parties in this case (step 4). She acknowledges that she and the Attorneys General in this litigation are ultimately "seeking identical relief on an identical theory." The Eleventh Circuit has stated that courts should "presume adequate representation when an existing party seeks the same objectives as the would-be interveners." Although this presumption is "weak," it imposes on the proposed intervener "the burden of coming forward with some evidence to the contrary." There is no such evidence in this case. Although Taitz states in conclusory fashion that her interests "are not being represented by the current parties to this action," the only support she provides for this contention is her claim that --- unlike the Attorneys General --- she is a doctor whose "gainful employment in Dental Surgery" will be directly impacted. However, the fact that she might be affected by the Act on a more personal level than the current named plaintiffs does not constitute evidence that representation by the Attorneys General is inadequate.

Fail and fail.

Taitz also takes out of context a statement made by Vinson that:

(T)he parties to this litigation, and, indeed, the citizens of this country, have an interest in having this case resolved as soon as practically possible. That task will be made exponentially more difficult if all those who have an opinion and an interest in the outcome of the case were allowed to intervene and to join in these proceedings. Already this court has received many such pro se requests for intervention. Furthermore, with respect to Taitz's motion in particular, I believe the parties to this case and the court should remain focused solely on the legal issues raised by the named plaintiffs, and not concern themselves with collateral issues (such as, for example, whether President Obama has provided sufficient proof of a valid birth certificate).

Not surprisingly, Taitz completely misstates Vinson's intent in her motion before Judge Lamberth: here

While motion to intervene was not granted under judicial discretion due to the fact that multiple interveners have filed their motions and the presiding judge decided to limit the case to the issue of the Commerce clause raised by the original plaintiffs ...

and here:

Additionally, Judge Vinson does not find the issue of Mr. Obama's eligibility due to lack of Natural Born status to be frivolous. He simply states that in the interest of expediency he decided to limit the case to the issues raised by the original plaintiffs. Yet again is seems to negate the notion by the defense that the eligibility issue is frivolous.

Judge Vinson made no such assertion, Orly. You're lying.

As you are here:

Regardless of whether ultimately the plaintiff in this action will prevail or not, above ruling of the sister court has indicated that Taitz has standing to bring her action challenging H.R. 3590 ...

To wit:

For these reasons, Dr. Taitz's motion to intervene (doc. 17) must be, and is, DENIED.

I guess when you're a desperate attention whore, you'll do anything to keep yourself relevant, even outright lie in legal papers.

My only question is, when will this woman be disbarred?

Keep the faith.

Read it and weep. Or at least scream. Hot off the presses at the Government Accountability Office.

http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d10204.pdf

Basically, the GAO dumps the problem on FEMA's doorstep, saying the agency is "responsible for developing a comprehensive emergency management system," but "has not developed a national disaster recovery strategy, as required by law, or issued specific guidance to coordinate federal, state, and local government recovery planning for RDD and IND incidents, as directed by executive guidance."

What the hell? How many years has it been known that dirty bombs are a potential danger? What have they been doing all this time?

To date, most federal attention has been given to developing a response framework, with less attention to recovery. Responding to an attack would involve evacuations and providing treatment to those injured; recovering from an attack would include cleaning up the radioactive contamination to permit people to return to their homes and businesses. Existing federal guidance provides limited direction for federal, state, and local agencies to develop recovery plans and to conduct exercises to test recovery preparedness. Of the over 90 RDD and IND exercises to test response capabilities in the last 6 years, only 3 included a recovery component.

So we know how to respond to an attack, we just don't know what to do after that initial response. Which begs the question, what happens to people who want to return to their homes after such an attack?

They're screwed, that's what happens.

This is ridiculous. Congress needs to lean on FEMA to develop guidelines and strategies to deal with the aftermath of a dirty bomb attack. This is not the sort of thing that should be handled by a special commission after the fact.

Keep the faith.

Here's yet another example of Right-wing radio blowhard
Michael Savage cherrypicking facts to make himself look good.

A Web site called "Death by 1000 Papercuts," or DBKP.com,
has released what it promises to be a regularly updated list of the most
popular conservative and liberal/progressive web sites and blogs, as identified
by averaging statistics from Alexa.com.

So, today on his Web site, Savage trumpets this: "Top 100
Conservative sites, Savage in winner's circle."

The fact that the site uses Alexa stats for its rankings is
suspect from the start, but more on that later.

Anyway, as usual, Savage leaves out a pertinent fact in his
headline, namely that DBKP.com combined his stats with those of
WorldNetDaily.com. That's because Savage's site is hosted by WND; it's actual
address is www.michaelsavage.wnd.com.

So, even though Savage advertises more than 1 million
visitors to his site, there's no way to really verify that because you can't
separate Savage's visitors from WND's.

And as far as using
Alexa stats is concerned, the company has come under fire because it only
counts those web browsers that have hits toolbar installed. Many people won't
do that over spyware concerns. So it's a limited sampling and, as most web
stats experts will say, the numbers are not to be relied upon.

Come to think of it, that makes it the perfect tool to use to
track Savage's Web traffic.

Keep the faith.
