Michael Savage donates $50k to Nevada police organization, earns humanitarian award

Well, this is getting interesting.

Another day and another press release trumpeting another Michael Savage and Paul Revere Society charitable donation.

This time, he and his organization slipped $50,000 to the Injured Police Officers Fund of Nevada.

And for his largess, the organization is giving Savage an award. A humanitarian award.

The man who just yesterday said, "Reason is a white man's thing," is getting a humanitarian award.

The man who advocated killing 100 million Muslims is getting a humanitarian award.

The man who, on national television, told a caller who he thought was gay that the caller should "get AIDS and die" is getting a humanitarian award.

The man who refers to kidnapped girls and rape victims as "sluts" is getting a humanitarian award.

The man who raised at least some portion of the $900,000 in the Paul Revere Society's coffers -- some of which has ostensibly been donated in this latest binge -- through peddling hate, misogyny and intolerance, is getting a humanitarian award.

I'll retire to Bedlam.

Keep the faith.

Well think of all of w's henchmen that received their medals of freedom or whatever worked for a photo op as they were being kicked in the ass and out the door of the WH.

But the widows and orphan fund people should be ashamed.

But what's a mother to do?

I'll have to agree with you Bill, that this individual does not deserve any gratitude from anybody. However, after having been banned from the UK for his racial intolerance, it seems he is trying to rebuild his credibility. Although, the guy is in pure denial of his Jewishness. But where is the ADL to denounce him?

The police are no longer who they once were, or maybe they never were. Either way, I think some police in some states would find him humanitarian as long as he equates humanity with white humanity and continues to deny he's Jewish. But of course, in governments for which they stand, that Jewish thing could come to haunt him.

Bio

I’m a journalist working at the New Jersey Shore but based in Central New Jersey, where I live with my wife and our dog and cat. During my career, I've been responsible for two pieces of legislation enacted in New Jersey: one that allowed every fire department and fire academy in New Jersey to receive, free, a thermal imaging camera, and the second, which created a searchable Web database through which consumers could research nursing homes and their owners, and have access to reports of violations and other information. My reporting also led to the requirement that Supreme, Superior and Tax Court justices and judges file the same kind of financial disclosure forms as every other elected and appointed official in New Jersey. I was also part of a two-reporter team that exposed massive increases in the cost to close the U.S. Army's Fort Monmouth. I have also written a book, “Savage Lies: The Half-Truths, Distortions and Outright Lies of a Right-Wing Blowhard,” which deconstructs the first three books written by right-wing talk radio host Michael Savage. The book is available at Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com and can be ordered wherever books are sold.
