Michael Savage: Pay up $160,000 or I sue
The British media are reporting today that radio blowhard Michael Savage wants "substantial" money and an apology from British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith as punishment for Smith's including Savage on her "least wanted" list.
How much is substantial? 100,000 British Pounds, or about $162,000.
Depending on which story you read (there are four of them as of this writing,) either Savage has actually filed a complaint, or his London lawyer sent a letter to Smith saying pay up, apologize or we'll sue.
In any case, he wants cash, an apology including the fact that he was paid cash, and a promise not to do it again.
Savage also had more to say about his banning, which he apparently put out in a press release to British media.

I was thinking of the legal costs involved in such a suit. I suppose attorneys might be interested in that they could get good media coverage.
If savage is angry enough, I suppose he could afford attorney fees.
The legal hurdles would be something to behold.
Getting money damages from a jury may not be that easy. savage is such a pig. Even if he 'won' he might look forward to a verdict of one pound. ha

Apparently Savage conflates the equivalent of Olbermann's "Worst Persons" with a terrorism watch list. Granted, it's a bit unusual coming from the Home Secretary, whose public positions are supposed to be those of the government. But still.
Get real, Mike. The day you can sued for dropping someone from your friend list is the day we lose our last shred of social comity.

The real Michael is shining through. He's living up to his homophone: "whiner".

Michael Weiner is a whiner. And a weiner. Though most assuredly not a winner.
Thanks. I'm here all week. Try the veal.
