Good news on the Nuns. Go, Nuns!
Bad news on Bishop Tobin, to whose interview by Tweety Matthews I was just listening; it's about refusing Communion to Congressman Kennedy. Matthews tries to nail him on a few items, but what the Catholic Matthews simply can't say is: You have NO RIGHT to inflict your Catholic morality on non-Catholics, much less Catholics. Chris can only focus on the 'would you put womwn who had abortions in jail' and 'do you call abortion murder?'
What he leaves out of the argument is enormous, and very telling.

"It can be hard to get used to how much Garay talks about money in church, one loyal parishioner, Billy Gonzales, told me one recent Sunday on the steps out front. Back in Mexico, Gonzales’s pastor talked only about “Jesus and heaven and being good.” But Garay talks about jobs and houses and making good money, which eventually came to make sense to Gonzales: money is “really important,” and besides, “we love the money in Jesus Christ’s name! Jesus loved money too!”

Poor Billy resisted, but in the end...
