DAILY SCIENCE FIX - HONEY BEES

Honey Bee Saved...?

In a major breakthrough in solving colony collapse disorder in Honey Bees, Spanish Scientists have identified a parasite as responsible.   They thereafter administered antibioitcs to the bees and the populations were restored to health

Many people fail to realize both the importance of the honey bee to food production and the serious decimation domesticated honey bees have been suffering.

Heres to hoping that the results in Spain work here and elsewhere in the world.

Stay Tuned...

Thank you yug doog for this - and thank you to the Spanish researchers!

Honey Bees
Tickle the Red Delicious
In sunny bright May
Sing on strawberries bloom
an early June tune
Crowd the top of my leeks
on July’s busy day
Buzz oregano’s aroma
In Augusts’ replay
Agosto de la jugada
Asleep on Echinacea
Ultraviolet in twilight
Be not shy little bee
blossom for me
I’m not
antibiotic free
and neither are thee
