Probably not the most significant outcome of the election, but it is one of the most satisfying. (None of my elected representatives factored in to the control-of-Congress calculus.)
It would be interesting to know the number of the Pentagon's military votes that went to Democrats in the hopes of pushing Rummy to resign.

... to be replaced by another old-time friend of the Bush family. It's hard for me to enjoy this because it seems to help many of the truly evil (Perle, Wolfowitz, Chalabi, Cheney) or slimy (Lieberman) characters get away. Plus, I still enjoyed his antics from time to time. I'm just waiting anxiously for better heads to roll once the subpoenas start.
