JokeLine forgets he supported the war and the administration which weakened us militarily, morally, and economically and left us in shambles, all because Jokeline still holds a position of influence in our national media, which like him, believed and propagated the Cheney administration lies during the years when Greenwald was being a real reporter. Methinks the Jokeline doth protest too much.

Time was, I couldn't stand Klein and was devoted to Greenwald, but it seems like blogging, and having to face the instant feedback from commenters--and they're a pretty tough crowd over there--has done wonders for him. He's more self-honest than he used to be and less beholden to the establishment. He still has a tendency to want to show the rest of the MSM he's a "serious" person by drawing false "pox on both your hoses" comparisons between, say, Greenwald and Limbaugh which is, in fact, a very foolish and insulting comparison.

Greenwald, on the other hand, has had a tendency toward self-rightousness that often leads him to conflate simple disagreement with him with moral treason to all that's right and good and decent.

The truth, hoerbrt, is that when they're acting like adults, both of them often have something worthwhile to to say, Greenwald more often than Klein. But both of them can be prickly, self-important pains in the ass with a propensity for getting into purely personal pissing matches with other media figures that they cloak behind self-rightousness appeals to higher principles.

When they get into one of those with each other, as they do from time to time, picking a side in their fight makes about as much sense as expressing a preference for X's or O's in a game of Tic-Tac-Toe. better just to politely pretend not to notice--like you do when a couple you're out with starts bickering--until they've exhausted themselves and start writing about what they're suppposed to be writing about.
