Right-winger to Arianna: Lawyer up (for posting fake video accussing him of racism)
I've warned you before, progressives of the world: rid your mind of the tendency to see racism in almost everything. After all, not every tall monument is a black man's penis.
Anyways, let's get to my story. The Huffington Post (and others) posted a video the other day purportedly showing Fox commentator John Gibson comparing Attorney General Eric Holder to a monkey. But turns out the video was doctored by someone in Baltimore, forcing Arianna's online gossip/politics website (which apparently lacks an editor or fact-checker) to apologize.
David Kurtz reported the apology here recently.
This reminds me of that fake primary campaign video in which a Hillary Clinton supporter allegedly called Indianans "shit", adding ""How would like to be a worthless white nigger?" in a question to George Stephanopolous.
Remember that?

Journalist makes a mistake, journalist apologies and retracts. Big whoop.
FYI video link takes you to a diary that no longer exists on DKos.

I know it doesn't exist. It was deleted. The tag "Mickey Kantor" shows that it referred to the Indiana fake video. Also note that the link contains the string "2008/5/1/", indicated it was postd on May 1, the date the video surfaced.
Do you care to speculate as to why it was deleted?

No, because the whole thing is a non story. Huff post did something stupid, they retracted and apologized. Gibson has zip case. The mere fact HuffPost apologized and retracted puts than above most media outlets.
