I'm having this sense of Déjà vu

Déjà vu: a feeling that one has seen or heard something before

Today's inauguration prompted me to read inaugural speeches by several past Presidents, when I suddenly ran into this bit by Gerald Ford, in reference to Watergate:

"We cannot stand still or slip backwards. We must go forward now together,"

Then he pardoned Nixon.

I cannot quite recall who used similar words recently, also playing down the importance of punishing big criminals. Can you please help?

I'm having a sense of deja vu too. I remember trying to read someone's unformatted blog and giving up.

I think I heard those same exact words while walking to the store with my mom and my sisters during an ice storm, many moons ago.
