Another liberal columnist plays the race card

Colbert King of the Washington Post today opens his column  citing a "report" by Dana Milbank alleging that a man yelled "kill him" in a recent GOP meeting in  Clearview, FL.

A few days ago, the Secret Service determined that a man yelled "tell him", not "kill him" in the above-mentioned event; but Colbert King must play dumb and withhold from his readers the full details surrounding this occurrence, because this would weaken his race of uncontained racism.

Read his sorry column and weep. Then come back and post a comment here pretending that you loved it and that you agree with cherry-picking in journalism.

Complacency is justified. McCain's victory chances are infinitesimal

I hear too many cautioning against complacency, against declaring victory too early , blah blah blah.

But think about it. Obama simply needs to flip states whose electoral votes add up 1o 18 in order to obtain a minimal victory, while keeping McCain from flipping any blue states.

Let's begin by stating that McCain will not flip any blue states. He trails Michigan and PA by double-digit-or-more margins according to the latest polls.

On the other hands, Obama has a good chance of flipping: Missouri, Virginia,  CO, Nevada, New Mexico, Iowa, and a reasonable chance of flipping OH, FL, WV and NC. He could also win ND.

How in the world can Obama lose?

James Tague: "Kennedy was murdered by our own government"

Remember James Tague, the man struck by a bullet fragment aimed at John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963?

He's still alive, and told an audience last week:

"Kennedy was murdered by our own government,"
The news report goes on:

"Tague admits that nobody will ever know the exact truth about what happened. There are a number of details that he said he isn't sure about -- how many shooters there were, for instance. But he is positive of at least one thing: "This is a complete cover-up of a coup d'etat."

Secret Service: No one yelled "Kill Him" at Palin Rally

The Scranton reporter that first brought up the allegation that someone yelled "kill him" in reference to Barack Obama at a recent Sarah Palin rally stands alone in his claim.

The Secret Service was unable to find any other person able to corroborate the accusation.

I'm a bit confused though. To this day, I thought Dana Milbank broke the story. Am I wrong?
Was Dana Milbank present during the rally? Did he have direct knowledge of the incident? Or was his report hearsay?

Obama Sex Perv Scandal (National Enquirer)

I quote:

The Enquirer exclusively reports a "sex pervert" was Sen. Barack Obama's longtime mentor and "father figure".

For seven years, the presidential candidate had a "father-son" relationship with Frank Marshall Davis, who has confessed to having sex with children, sadomasochism, bondage and practicing a wide array of deviant sexual activities.

In his 1995 memoir Dreams from My Father, Obama identifies his childhood mentor only as "Frank," but Obama insiders later confirmed he was referring to Davis, a journalist and poet who was a pal of Obama's maternal grandfather, Stanley Dunham.

Frank Marshall Davis admitted in his private papers that he had secretly authored a hard-core pornographic autobiography called Sex Rebel: Black, published in 1968. The author of the book - a copy of which was been obtained by The ENQUIRER - is listed as "Bob Greene."  Davis later confessed to its authorship after a reader noticed similarities in style and phraseology between that book and Davis' poetry.

Media critic: Josh Marshall "must go"

An exasperated Bob Somerby is asking for Josh Marshall to "go", following last weekend's developments.

In short, Josh Marshall baselessly asserted on Saturday, October 11th, that a lady  "apparently" called Obama an "Arab Terrorist" on a town hall meeting Friday. However, the video clearly shows the lady saying "Arab" and only "Arab". To Marshall's credit, he immediately claimed that it was 'unclear" that Quinnell had said "terrorist", although the question remains as to why Marshall did not explain what made the baseless claim "apparent" in the first place.

Is it apparent or unclear?

Neither did Marshall care to explain why it was "unclear" when no one in the world can hear the word "terrorist" in the video. In fact, there is not a hint that the woman used the epithet.

Marshall also claimed (falsely) that in the post-town-hall-meeting interview, Quinnell called Obama terrorist. In fact, Quinnell simply answered the question of whether Obama was an Arab or not. Here is the transcript of Quinnell answering questions from one "Noah":

Noah: Yeah, I know which one you're talking about.  And just to be sure to make sure we got your quote OK, you called Obama and Arab terrorist?

Quinnell ardon?

Noah: You called him an Arab terrorist?  Is that correct?  Why do you think he is an Arab?

Quinnell Because his dad is.   If you... I'll send you the paper.

Note that  Noah ultimately realizes that his "terrorist" claim is made-up and chooses instead to ask why she thinks "he's an Arab" (he drops the "terrorist label).

I would not go as far as calling for Marshall's early retirement, but he certainly needs to smarten up.

Axelrod condemns Rep. Lewis’s comments

The Hill:

A senior adviser to Barack Obama said Sunday that the Illinois Democrat does not agree with Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), who drew parallels between John McCain and former segregationist Alabama Gov. George Wallace.

In the past week, stepped up rhetoric by Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and, to a lesser degree, from Sen. McCain (Ariz.) has overlapped with seemingly more aggressive crowds at their rallies.
