Obama is right, Kucinich is wrong (on impeachment)

I've heard some of you lately ask others to join the fight to impeach George W. Bush.

That is ridiculous. First of all, there are no grounds to impeach Bush, or Cheney. Second of all, even Obama has expressed his view that this is a bad idea.

Will you trust Dennis "UFO" Kucinich? Or Barack Obama?

I think the answer is not too difficult.

Take a minute or two to reflect on this. It's not going to happen because we don't have the votes, and again, there are no grounds for impeachment. If you are planning to state that Bush lied us into war, be aware that it was our intelligence agencies that provided the opinions that led us into war. What was Bush to do?

Great news: Drudge has, as I type this, 4 McCain-related stories (all negative)

It is a welcome deviation from the norm. Drudge, called by some the "most important journalist in the world", is against John McCain. This is a welcome event, I say, because media coverage is essential in order to win elections. With Drudge not against us this time around, negative stories about our main candidate, Obama, won't be as amplified and spread around as much as anti-Kerry, anti-Gore or anti-Clinton news spread in years past.

These are the four stories that are up on the Drudge Report as I type compose this entry:

-WSJNBCNEWS POLL: Obama Opens With Edge on McCain...

-Dems pound McCain for new Iraq quote...

-Kerry: McCain confused, 'unbelievably out of touch'...

-PAGLIA: McCain reading speech is painful spectacle...

God bless Matt Drudge, and anyone who helps us spread our message of progress and change.

Maureen Dowd talks about Michelle Obama's "belated pride"

Michelle Obama will be a guest in The View morning show soon. As you remember, Michelle was never proud of American in her adult life until Democrats started voting en masse for her husband. This earned Michelle much criticism, of course, because there are a lot of things that could have caused her to be proud of America before her husband was successful in the Democratic primary.

Well, now the magnificent New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd predicts what Michelle Obama will say during this appearance:

She’s going to take her big microphone on “The View” as a co-host next week, when she will no doubt try to put her remark about her belated pride in her country in context.

Americans believe the media is pro-Obama and is not objective (New Rasmussn poll)

If you are surprised by these finding you have been living in Uranus:

Just 17% of voters nationwide believe that most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage of election campaigns. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that four times as many--68%--believe most reporters try to help the candidate that they want to win.

...

Voters have little doubt as to who is benefitting from the media coverage this year--Barack Obama. Fifty-four percent (54%) say Obama has gotten the best coverage so far. Twenty-two percent (22%) say McCain has received the most favorable coverage while 14% say that Hillary got the best treatment.
