Palin in comparison

So Sara's at it again, bashing the godless mainstream media elites for not scrutinizing Caroline Kennedy as closely as Miss Alaska herself.

"It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be."

The implication of this rambling run-on, if I understand it correctly, is that the media ought to skewer Caroline like they did Sara, but they won't because Caroline's pedigreed.

So, Sara, here's some scrutiny for you. Let's compare apples to apples.

Caroline Kennedy is an attorney with a law degree from Columbia.

Sara Palin is the governor of a po-dunk state with a bachelor's degree from a community college in journalism.

Caroline Kennedy, having obtained a degree in law from an ivy-league law school has demonstrated direct knowledge of the law, and is poised to enter the legislative branch of government. While still an august position, it is hardly the highest office in the land and doesn't warrant the same scrutiny as, say, President or VP.

Sara Palin, though she aspired to the second highest office in the land, a cardiac arrhythmia away from the highest, at a time of national and international economic crisis and with two wars going, has failed to demonstrate an even cursory knowledge of basic civics, foreign affairs, geography, or even proper English sentence structure, much less law.

Now, I'm sure one could argue that education is, in fact, a class issue, but that would be getting off point. Wasilly-Sara is talking about media bias against what exactly? Is she positioning herself as lower-class? News flash, Sara: Not many lower-class people, win beauty pageants, become mayors, are appointed to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and then become governors and hire lobbyists.

The only class issue here is that Caroline went to class, and Sara didn't.

Dear Tres: obviously you know her so well. NOT. BTW, her name is spelled SARAH not Sara.

She has been a good governor. I may not agree with her every thought, but I at least know that she HAS one.

She puts our state FIRST, and doesn't allow her personal beliefs to influence legislation. Example: When Lyda Green wanted her to call a 'special session' on abortion, she refused. She stated that this was something that should have been handled during the REGULAR session if Lyda thought it was so important to make all abortions illegal.

Caroline may be a great Senator. Who knows? We have NOTHING, not being a mayor, not being a governor, NOTHING to compare. While going to Columbia may be wonderful, that was THEN and this is NOW. What has she done LATELY?

There are a lot of people who were not born with a silver spoon in their mouth that have persevered to get an education. Personally, I have more respect for someone who has achieved WITHOUT being spoon fed. Don't you?

Come visit Alaska and see us. You might want to wait for it to warm up though; it is currently minus twenty degrees at my house.

I believe that the world has seen enough of the Clintons, the Kennedys, and the Bushes. So this is not a vote for CaKe, but really and truly, your governor is a clown.

Your state does not produce more than about one-fifth as much crude as she claimed.

She lied about earmarks in general and about the bridge in particular.

She is taking credit for a pipeline that will likely never get built.

She lied about Democrats in general and Obama in particular.

She lied about her official role in trying to get a state trooper fired to redress a private grievance, she then lied about her reasons for firing the head of the state troopers when he wouldn't follow her corrupt wishes, and then lied again about what the legislative report found, after first promising to cooperate and then refusing to.

She is incandescently ignorant about world and national affairs.

She let the McCain campaign trample the interests of the people of Alaska and interfere with its government in order to preserve her imagined viability as a candidate.

In sum, then, she doesn't know anything, and doesn't care. She lies almost every time she opens her mouth.

Still not satisfied? OK then, yes, let's say it-- she is also low class, nekulturni, a lout.

She has a saving grace, tho-- she winks to try to sell her talking points. Did you like that?

Goddess Sarah has taken a page from the Bush/Cheney book on revisionist history. She's delusional to believe that her failures are anyone's but her own. Her ego is at least ten times her IQ.

Tres - the press is pushing these conversations, not SaraH.

Education IS a class issue and you can't argue that Kennedy is more qualified because she went to Ivy League schools. It was a lot easier for her to get into those schools given her last name. And you think she's demonstrated her knowledge just by graduating from an ivy league school?

If you still feel the need to bash Palin after the election process, you need to get a new life.

I wasn't arguing that Caroline is more qualified. If you read the post, I say nothing of her qualifications. I was arguing that the amount of scrutiny Sarah was recieving was warranted in comparison to the relatively little C.K. has gotten.

just as she confused the meaning of the words "sight" and "Insight", princess pandora misses the mark on the difference in "Class", and "Class Warfare"

class warfare is the struggle between two or more economic groups

"Class" is what Caroline Kennedy has. and what sarah palin lacks
