Did Sean Hannity lose the election for McCain?

No man on earth, or on national broadcast television, has spewed more pure hatred Obama's way than the one-man racist rally known as Sean Hannity.  He proudly claimed responsibility for first breaking the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Story back in March.  He never stopped talking about it.  Never.  He never stopped talking about William Ayers,Louis Farrakhan, or Rashid Khalidi.  He never stopped talking about anti-semitism and black racism and terrorism and Obama's alleged "anti-Americanism".

He went on about it so relentlessly that even Newt Gingrich told him, on air, to give it a rest.

But he didn't.

McCain lost for a lot of reasons.  Agreeing with Bush 90% of the time didn't help.  The financial crisis didn't help.  Picking Palin was a devastatingly naive decision.  So was picking Karl Rove's henchmen to run his campaign.

But Hannity became McCain's loudest spokesperson.  Certainly his most consistently divisive fear-mongering hateful spokesperson.

He didn't do McCain any favors.

Because on November 4th, 2008, America told Sean Hannity to STFU.

Obama and his message of unity won overwhelmingly.

Despite the title of one of Sean's programs, it is not Hannity's America.
