The Clinton campaign's dying words: " ."

Anyone care to fill in the blank?

Do the Clintons dictate the national conversation?

I  think they do.
The Clinton machine can take any topic, spin it, and feed it to the world at large.
And the world at large swallows it hook, line and sinker. We are what we talk about.  But we don't decide the topic.
The most recent example is the topic of Obama the "elitist".
Agree, disagree, honestly, I don't care.  It's not what I wanted to discuss all weekend.
I'd rather talk about ways to prevent the Pentagon from attacking Iran.
Or what about the admission that George Bush knew about the torture meetings?   Should we forget about it?
And last weekend, I would have rather we all spent our time building a coalition of bloggers to force the Pentagon to release the NIE on Iraq.  Why didn't congress make that a requirement?  Why not force congress into stating that there will be no hearings until everyone is provided with the same information?

What about demanding that the candidates hold press conferences to present us with comprehensive energy plans?  Not generic rhetoric about renewable sources.
Energy IS the economy.
So what about you?  Got anything original to talk about? Can you raise your own questions on your own timetable on your own terms?
Because right now, our intelligence is mere chatter.
We're talking about  what  FOX or the CLINTONS want us to talk about.
And we're more than happy to cooperate.
We all have the freedom of speech.   But when was the last time you talked about what was on your own mind, not on someone else's?

You can't say Americans are angry? Whose dictator dream is this?

Any candidate that claims we're all just happy campers that whistle while we work needs to stay as far away from the White House as possible.

any guesses on what news story will precede the two debates next week?

What news will break in the next few days that will affect the election? Do the Clintons and their news organization surrogates have some bomb shell to drop right before the debates next Wednesday and Friday and the PA primary on the following Tuesday?

Huffingtonpost article on MI and FL still misleading

Thomas Edsall wrote a piece on the MI and Fl saga that appeared on the Huffington Post today. An excerpt:
"The Obama camp is determined to prevent Clinton from gaining the large block of delegates up for grabs in Florida and Michigan, calling instead for splitting each state's delegation down the middle".

The reason why the Obama campaign doesn't want the delegates from the original MI and FL seated is because those were the rules if those states held early primaries.

I don't think it helps anyone for a journalist not to make this resoundingly clear.

There's more to "Colombia-Gate" than meets the eye.

A quote from the original WSJ story:
"A spokesman for Colombia's President Álvaro Uribe said the ambassador met with Mr. Penn to discuss the bilateral agenda. "There have also been meetings with the advisers to the campaigns of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain, he said."

The Obama campaign denied any meetings took place.
(Does this sound eerily familiar to how the NAFTA GATE saga unfolded?    Who is this unsourced "spokesperson" that said Obama met with Colombia?  If the "spokesperson" lied, who asked him to lie?

I'm an Obama supporter and I'm just wondering what the Clintons are up to this time?

Will Hillary admit to having signed the DNC FL MI agreement at a live campaign rally?

It's the old obfuscation trick. I would bet that no one, not one voter attending Hillary's rallies has heard her say that she signed an agreement with all the other candidates that Florida and Michigan delegates wouldn't count. Has anyone at these live rallies pressed her specifically about whom we should trust, the Hillary that signed the agreement, or the Hillary that wants to break the agreement?
Can any reporter get her to admit, in front of her supporters, or a debate audience, that yes, she signed the agreement and now she's breaking the agreement?

When people walk out of a Clinton rally, here's what they think.

1) Hillary and Barack are tied in this race so far.

2) Obama is trying to disenfranchise millions of voters in FL and MI, and doesn't want the voice of the people to be heard.

3) Hillary opposed the war before Obama did. Then he flip-flopped.
4)Hillary has the only universal health care plan.
5) Hillary has been against NAFTA from the start.

6)Hillary is the only one who bothered to put together an economic stimulus proposal that offers mortgage relief for people struggling to pay their bills.
7) Hillary is the only one ready to be C.I.C. because she and Bill were dealing with national security issues for 8 years.
8) Hillary has won all the big states. Obama hasn't won any big states, and if a democrat can't win those, the Republicans will win.
9) Hillary's the only one who can beat McCain in the general election.

Rendell now insists FL and MI popular vote must be included

On meet the press this morning, Governor Rendell from PA. inferred the original DNC rules prevents the Michigan and Florida delegates from being seated, but it doesn't say anything about not including the popular vote from those states.

And then went on to say if you include those popular vote totals, then Hillary has more electoral college votes than Barack. (If I misinterpreted what he was saying, please correct me. It's confusing to keep up with the spin.)

This is just way out of control at this point. I don't know if generating a petition against the illegal tactics of the Clintons will help, but the election is being hijacked if we don't do anything.
