Carrie Prejean does XXX Film
It's the story that keeps on giving. Miss California pageant officials got a hold of the film several months ago. Apparently, the film convinced Carrie to withdraw her law suit against them. Gay marriage bad, XXX good? I wonder how the religious conservatives, right wing nuts, and Donald Trump will spin this?

How awful - someone who holds a different opinion but willing to allow people to do what they want.
How terrible - a Christian that's comfortable shooting a home sex movie. So on one hand liberals hate Christians for being too prudish, and then on the other hand they hate them when they're too wild. Hard pleasing liberals.
Of course we don't know how this tape surfaced, but the bigger issue was that the pageant was upset that Prejean wasn't 100% in the tank for gay marriage (as if that was a question that should have been asked when the pageant is all about 1850's sexual values - even though the host Perez Hilton likes posting naked celebrity paparazzi shots such as the famous Britney snatch piece), and then disqualify her for some basic swimsuit shots. What a bunch of bozos.

Ummm... I'm not upset about the things you've mentioned...
But I do think it's important to recognize this self-righteous Christian got on her Moral High Horse and spoke as if she were somehow "right"... that her particular upbringing was somehow better than those other people...
And now this.

Translation:
Anyone who says anyhting other than "gay marriage is the most wonderful thing in the world," deserves to be humiliated in the national media.
The reason she turned into a national icon for the conservatives was not because she was such a wonderful person, it was because the pageant judge Mario Armando Lavandeira* behaved like such a jackass to her.
*No, I'm not going to refer to him by his pretentious, stupid stage name.

Incidentally... she wouldn't fulfill the terms of her contract... "basic swimsuit shots" or otherwise.
And, in lieu of recent events, I gotta wonder why she'd be opposed to "basic swimsuit shots"...

I think people wanted to interpret her simple statement as a "Moral High Horse".

Is that really a demagogue to you? People like to see what they want and overreact how they want. Bill Clinton becomes a racist for saying Obama's anti-Iraq speech bit was a "fairy tale". Whole Earths head becomes the same as Rush Limbaugh for writing an op-ed, requiring a boycott of a health food chain (imagine Rush promoting health food?)
And no, she wasn't fired for refusing to do swimsuit shots - the org even paid for a breast job for her - she was fired because she would not coordinate her appearances with the committee. Seems dumb of her, but it's probably more about the attacks she got and her subsequent decision to speak for the National Organization on Marriage without clearance - the relationship was strained by that point.
