A fire at a new Indiana Office Firefighters are investigating a blaze that destroyed the presidential
campaign office of Hillary Rodham Clinton in Terre Haute, Indiana. They had only been there for 3 days, and were still in the process of setting up the office. Two campaign workers were in the building when the fire broke out.
Attempts to contact the candidate at 3 am. were unsuccessful. When asked by reporters this morning if she was aware that the fire had broken out during the night, she responded "I'm sure the Obama campaign had nothing to do with it." When pressed she clarified "I don't have any reason to believe that the Obama campaign had anything to do with it ... as far as I know." She also mentioned that none of the campaign's cars had been stolen.

Bill was commenting about an Obama campaign ad where Obama says, unlike Hillary, he doesn't take any money from oil companies. Bill goes on and describes how no politician living has taken money from oil companies because it is against the law. IOW, the add was without substance. I thought that was the point of his comment but his next statement reveals there was more to it than that. The kicker comes when Bill says that a politician could create a political ad that says, I don't steal cars, vote for me.

Yesterday, a former Army Staff Sergeant, David Bellavia, said “You can have your Tiger Woods, we’ve got Senator McCain.” Comparing Obama to Woods is not necessarily a bad thing for Obama. I think the preception of some, that this was a racial slight is understandable. I'm not sure if that was Bellavia intented.
Bellavia, who served in Iraq made his comments in introducing McCain to a crowd of of pro-Iraq veterans. His controversial statement was preceded by "Rest assured that men like Senator McCain will be the goal (stuttering) and the men that my two young boys will emulate and admire."
I'd like to propose an alternative explanation. Tiger Woods is considered by many to be, one of the best, if not the best, role models for men and boys. His appeal transcends golf and race. Bellavia wants his boys to aspire to be like John McCain and not like Tiger Woods. He wants his boys to emulate a war hero and not a golf professional. If this is the case, what is wrong with that?
To transcend race, we have to be able to compare two persons without jumping to conclusions whenever race might be just one of a number of possible explanations.

There are 211 delegates from Florida and 157 from Michigan that are in limbo. If those delegations are not seated, that the total delegate count needed to win the democratic nomination should be reduced to 1840. Not doing so gives the super-delegates more power than intented. Superdelegates make up 18% of total delegates with Florida and Michigan included but 20% if they are not.
Here's the math. There are 4047 delegates in total. If you remove Flordia and Michigan delegates you are left with 3679 total delegates. 3679 divided by 2 leaves 1839.5.
What do you think? Is this politcally possible?
