I knew after the Couric interview that McCain (or his camp) had reason to blame their loss (should it happen) on Palin. I keep debating whether she is an attractive woman who has been told so one too many times and has picked up the habits of the stereotypical beauty queen while in the spotlight because it works--she get her way or is she intentionally going against political protocol to get the attention--to make a lasting impression whether good or bad? And then sometimes I think she's dumb as a fox and is playing and inspiring her her too-far-to-the-right crowd, whom she will keep in touch with until 2012? I can't imagine her recovering politically outside of Alaska without cleaning up her act.
Underqualified. Ignorant. Overambitious. AND a liar. Oy!

Thanks. A truly touching intimate moment. A story like this will be embedded in our minds years from now as we remember how proud we felt--how proud I felt this morning being the 14th voter of Ward 09 to fill out my ballot--to vote this time.
I think of all the hype, anxiety, nailbiting, and tears over the past few months and know in my heart that that excitment will override all the lies, intimidation, hypocracy, and downright foolishness.
Palin has problems with the indigenous people in Alaska because of her hunting/fishing policies and her attempts to overturn federal laws protecting Native fishing rights.

I'm so sick and tired of people stating themselves and quoting others accusing Obama of not addressing the "larger issues."
What is his plan to rebuild the economy (a pretty big issue)?
What is his plan regarding Iraq (a pretty big issue)?
etcetera
I believe he has laid out some "larger issue" plans for the world to access and consider. Right there on his great big website. Yet some people find it easier to copy and paste someone elses pessimistic views than do a little research. Why is that?
If I'm off track here and you DO know that he has addressed these larger issues but don't agree with them--then write about it. But please, don't ignore what is already out there and play a John McCain and say it doesn't exist.
Or be specific. What "larger issue" are you concerned with that he hasn't addressed?
And on the "present" vote: Without researching anything, what do YOU think it means? If you don't strictly agree or disagree with something what do you want to do? Compromise maybe?

I appreciate your honest answer. I have a tendency to over-analyze people I meet. I take in what they say and evaluate it as how it would affect other people...their children...her husband...his wife, etc. Not an obsession but maybe I find it to be fun.
I've hunted all my life. I hunt for food not sport. Where I live in Wisconsin it's required or the deer would overpopulate and starve to death.
I don't want to cut up on Sarah's appearance, I think she's attractive. Her mannerisms and professionalism is something that just doesn't cut it for the positions she's applied for. And as I listed, her policy and morals appaul me. That's that.

Don't you think a lot of these people watched that DVD, Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West? The type of people that hang onto their proud Americanism and feel threatened by those that don't look like and think they are stereotypically going to steal it. Think about it, the word Islam or Muslim is equal to Nazi to these people. John McCain even told his one supporter that, "No, he's not Arab. He's a decent family man." Like saying there is something wrong with being Arab. That being Arab is being indecent. We are taking steps backward when it comes to tolerance and we are also finding grown up adults accepting and encouraging this type of lying and unfortunately they are the role models of that group's young people. I find it stomach-turning.
