Given Google, C-SPAN, YouTube, and the Daily Show, it's getting harder to cover tracks. While not the same as the in-office taping system that brought down Nixon, the easy access to previous announcements is not helping the WH. 

Rep. Waxman at one point said that he regretted not being able to put up a video of the president promising a full probe but added, "I guess we will leave that to The Daily Show."

Waxman is referring to the testimony by Dr. Knodell, who admitted there was neither a formal report of security breach or an investigation, at least to his knowledge or in any records. Begs the question of what his predecessor would testify, (if we knew who that person was). Watch for this thread to pull loose.

I remember how Watergate blew open when we learned of the tapes. It was mostly posturing until then, but things got legal quickly. Even today's testimony occurred only because of a subpoena threat. It seems that there was a violation of executive order about security breaches, at a minimum. There is also the violation of another executive order, governing release of classified info.

Trust the ranking member of Waxman's committee to  try and show Plame was not damaged since she was not hurting financially. Projection, I'd say, since personal money seems awfully important to GOP folks. And Rule of Law was convenient baloney, apparently. Gander, meet goose.
