Is it possible that we now have 3 political parties? Democratic Party, Republican Party and the Conservative Corporate Party (This is just a short poll like question)
Really, it is starting to sound to me that a third party has very quietly been organized and it is there to support corporations.
Am I wrong? If you agree with me that we now have 3 political parties what do you see as the ramifications of a "Corporate Party"?

I think it's still two parties, but the guiding force behind the Republican Party is a loosely amalgamated group I like to call the Lucrescenti, or Lucrascenti depending on your spelling preference. (Second choice was The Corporatistas, but I like Lucrescenti because it sounds creepier.)
As you might expect from the name, they're all about money and the reason they gravitate toward and work out of the Republican Party is that Republican votes can be purchased much more cheaply than Democratic votes.
Whenever we wonder what motivates Republicans to do what they do, it's worth reframing the question into something like "What motivates those who run the Republicans to do what they do?" And you'll discover that the answer lies in what the Lucrescenti consider the inconvenient necessity of obtaining 51% of the vote, what with America still clutching quaintly at Democracy and all. This is done by taking advantage of the death of context and spending a little money to get groups of people whipped up over a single issue or narrow group of issues. (It is of course necessary to pretend that these issues actually matter, but not in any meaningful way.)
The ramification for Democrats is that we need to understand that the best way to put the Lucrescenti on the defensive is not to focus on one nutty Republican antic after another, but to raise the price of votes. More on that later....

Well you've got a non-corporatist wing of the Dem party - 60 or so reps in the House - and then the corporatist party which covers the rest of the dems and repubs. Then you've got centrists like Obama in the middle explicitly trying to 'balance' the interests of corporations on the one hand, and those of constituents on the other.

We have a lunatic party and a conservative/corporate party. We need a liberal/labor party to provide at least a little real balance in the system. The only ideas that get spoken out loud are conservative or reframed in conservtive language.
For example, my "progressive" (conservative) Senator uses the airtime she gets on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to talk about small business. Think about that. She never even mentions labor or wage earning folks on the one time of the year even a "progressive" (conservative) ought to be able to get away with bringing them up.
