One thing I find curious: he talks about nature and wilderness and quiet but what he loves about it is that he can play country music in the air-conditioned cab of his excavator? Henry David Thoreau is rolling over in his grave.
Otherwise, the emails make me a little sick to my stomach. Too personal, and it's really rotten that somebody would leak them. I shouldn't have clicked over.

Whoa. Questions that come to mind:
1) HOW did The State get those? They say they obtained these from his "personal e-mail account". Did they hack, was it a govt acct that he designated as personal, FOIA request, etc?
2) WHY did they decide to run these? Other than titillation, voyeurism, etc, WHAT is the relevance?
3) WHY would he write these?

I honestly feel a little sorry for the guy. I feel sorrier for his wife and kids having to read this in the paper, but I don't think the guy is evil. A little pathetic, self-deluded and hypocritical maybe - but not evil.

By looking and hovering over this we allow ourselves to snatch and run off with a glimpse of intimacy between two human beings. We only reject any of the guilt for ourselves in the looking and the hovering. Folks, this is NOT part of the healthcare this country needs so badly to focus upon.

In the body of the text it says that the lady's full name and address are omitted, I guess we are to believe out of respect for her privacy, but there is a picture that is presumably of her apartment building. The neighborhood, and the street that she lives on are given.
