Thanks for the links.

You can tell a lot about CNBC and its commitment to honest journalism and social responsibility just by looking at the names of the programs on its homepage:

Mad Money, Fast Money, The New Black Overclass, The Business of High End Prostitution. How I made My Millions. Saving GM.

Have a look:

You would think that CNBC was owned by Murdoch. But it was like the students at the College of Business at my university. They were different.

I mean, a lot of them wore ties to class.

OjO -both Playboy and TPM took down their original posts. I wonder why??

Here's Santelli's response to Playboy's shoddy reporting, which I'm not sure why you didn't bother to post. Always better to show both sides of a story

"It is very UN-American to belittle or ignore the FACTS, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, or the voices of millions of Americans that demand better answers, more transparency, deeper accountability, and the simple idea that our elected officials represent all Americans. All Americans should be treated fairly and equitably as our government puts forth solutions."

Thanks for posting the link to the article with that recent Santelli quote.

Pretty hypocritical coming from the guy now famous for his "homeowner losers" rant.

How is it hypocritical? I would like a bailout too but I don't think I'm going to get one. I wish I had bought a house I couldn't afford so now the bailout will help me stay in it rather than sell it and start renting somewhere else.

MCB,
Here are you're words:
"You shouldn't pay any attention to Cramer. Nobody else does. At my hedge fund we listen to CNBC all day long but when Cramer comes on we always mute the television"

The key words here are "AT MY HEDGE FUND". Is this actually YOUR'S as in you own it? If so how much do I have to give you to get involved?

Really, I want to know.

user-pic

Yes it's mine. I started it after I got laid off from a big bank about a year ago. Right now there's only two clients. One is a non-profit and the other is a school endowment. But my revenues so far do not exceed my overhead so I am not making a profit (ie burning through money I saved from my prior job). It's just me and one other guy.

As far as your wanting to "get involved", I'm not sure what you mean??

Th first time the guy utters a peep is when the Govt proposes to bailout actual homeowners. Santelli's been quiet as a mouse as the Gov't threw 100's of billions at the banks, but oh no, he draws the line at a bailout for real people, however irresponsible.

That's called hypocrisy, and being an asshole.

but fish like caramels, that's why.

Dorn - do you watch CNBC regularly?? Santelli has been consistently critical of the TARP. He criticized the government for forcing JPMorgan to bail out Bear. And he agreed when the government let Lehman fail.

After you listen to the link below, please tell me if Santelli is still (in your opinion) "quiet as a church mouse"?
