Chris Matthews Destroys Nancy Puffinstuff on air
Moments ago Chris Matthews destroyed Nancy Puffinstuff on air while going after Sarah "the VP runs the Senate" Palin. It was beautiful and fun to watch. It is strange to see all the damage John McCain has done to his own career over this campaign. Watch the re-run or get the clip someone it was really fantastic!

I think I heard him ask if when Palin was on her shopping spree, did she pick up a copy of the constitution.

Chris Matthews has been asking some tough questions of late. It's good to (finally) see him trying to live up to the name of his show, which he hasn't been doing for a looooong time.

All of them have been playing this equivalency game for years now, the Bush team scared them into it.
last week Andrea Mitchell called Obama's ad about McCain being a lot like George Bush based on his voting record as 'nasty'. it was a negative ad, but it was far from nasty. it was her throw away line to claim that both sides are doing it when the subject of the robocalls came out.
matthews and the lot of them have been cowed by the Republicans for a while now...

You need to see the show where he had some young guy named Kevin James on this . James was saying Obama wanted to "appease" Hama, I think is what it was. Brutal! I watched it umpteempth times!

It was even funnier when he insisted that Bill Burton get in on the conversation to keep Pfotenwhatever from destroying herself.

Yes that was great. I laughed hard and Bill Burton looked like he was going to laugh hard himself!

Hardball is on right now on the West Coast. I'm waiting for it.
Did Matthews say anything about Michelle Bachmann blaming him for her foot-in-mouth disease?

Thanks for the link. Pfotenhauer obviously must have been in tears as she fled after the interview. I can't imagine her ever being able to look at Palin again these last 13 days. She'd claw Palin's eyes out. It must be pretty tense on the "Straight Talk Express".

I would so pay to watch that fight. No matter who loses, we win.
The only problem, who to cheer for? Bible Spice or Puffinstuff?

Puffinstuff - she won't be running in 2012.

No, I mean a fist fight. Something that ends like the beating Sonny Corleone gave to his brother in law.

This was tweety's best line:
"The Vice President of the United States is not in charge of the Senate...somehow through all these trips through Saks she never picked up a copy of the Constitution. You got a problem."
Priceless :)

Matthews has been on fire since the notorious Michelle Bachmann episode. It was great TV and of course he gets to Bachmann later on. And Chris is correct, Palin needs to pick up a copy of the Constitution and read it.

But here is the real problem that some Americans can see. Palin is the puppet and her puppet handlers don't want to follow the constitution.
She is not there to stand on her own, set aside the fact that she can't. She is a facade; just a face. She is there as a tool. Tools do not need to have a sense of themselves' or their real, constitutional role. They just have to be willing to be used.

Are you sure she could read it?
Oh, right: she went to 6 colleges and came out with a degree in reading sports scores on TeeVee.

Obama’s nomination has made our country a complete mess and an embarrassment for the world to view.
Obama and his team of supporters have reared the ugly head of sexism and racism, criticized our country to the world and have been a complete embarrassed with voter fraud and the entire voting process.
Many in my community have never seen such bias in reporting, if you want to call it that. It is an embarrassing time to be an American.
The media should be emphasizing the importance of a man with good character, not defend a man that has associations with far left, anti American radical leaders and the like.
Shame on the media, shame on the Democrats and all Americans that support Obama’s unfair tactics and inexperience.

Nice of you to join us, soon-to-be-ex-ongresswoman Bachmann...

I agree! McCain owns 10 houses and 13 cars, Palin spends $150,000 on clothes, make-up and hairdos within two months, while Obama owns only 1 house and 1 automoblie!
What an ELITIST Obama is! How EMBARRASSING for the US that he isn't sufficently greedy and selfish!

What color is the sky in your world? You accuse Barack of creating this divide in our country? The world's view of us was destroyed by your boy bush. McFailin' brings this mess on themselves!!! Barack has done nothing but defend himself every since Hillary tried to do the same thing to him. He has shown nothing but grace and intelligence during this blatant new form of racism that's running rampid. What you should do is tell these RepubliCONS to stop putting their foot in there mouths everytime one of them speaks. The thing is is that everything they accuse Barack of has no merit and you can't stand that!!

I saw the whole thing as it was unfolding. Absolutely brutal! I actually had to switch the station for awhile, it looked so bad. After her comment about "the real Virginia," I thought the McCain camp was no longer going to use her as a spokesperson for the campaign

It is good to see someone pin her down for an answer.
She was probably thinking she should have passed on this apperance.
She didn't come off much better than Bachman.
Good job Chris.
