I think what he did was pretty unforgivable, myself.
I agree, but the Eagles coach, Andy Reid (who has two sons who have had legal difficulties), said he is very sensitive to the idea that everyone deserves a second chance.
And every winning NFL team needs a Heisman-winning qback. A match made in heaven?
YOUR PREJUDICED. HAHAHAHAHA
Just cynical, DD.
Too many sports players end up not serving any time at all for the ridiculous things they do. I am a Dallas Cowboys fan, and was livid when Pacman Jones was signed. Vick served his time. I believe he should get another chance, but not necessarily a clean slate... he needs to be kept on a short leash.
18 months in jail is a long time. Plus 5 months of home detention and 3 years away from football. The criminal courts exist to levy criminal penalties not the NFL - I think allowing him to play was the correct choice.
More than if he deserves a second chance, I wonder if he can really play. Though, I'm not sure how I like the idea of him backing up McNabb in the NFC East if the answer is "yes".
I don't pay attention to sports but Michael Vick served his time and has been publicly shamed enough. He has earned a second chance. I've seen worse offenders get a second chance.
Yes, he deserves a second chance.
absolutely, a second chance.
Yes. He did his time.
(But it sure will be awkward when "Who let the dogs out" gets played over the PA system).
He should be allowed to play. He will be shunned by many and that is OK, just the price one has to pay for committing heinous acts.
I can't - the guy is a sociopath. Personally I will rooting for a big hit. Then again I'm a dog...Murry
You're allowed to be biased. Here's a little hope that he'll be a better human being if given the chance to be one.
I wonder how many of the people who say he served his time and deserves a second chance, would be saying the same thing if he beat up their mom or sister for example.
or how about if he sexually assaulted their child?
Would he still deserve his second chance??
either he served his time or he hasnt!
but what it really comes down to is how you feel about his crime.
and that, has nothing to do with "serving his time".
No-one deserves to be paid what the NFL "stars", among others, are paid with the society in the state that it is.
Vick even less than the others? Maybe. Fuck'm. He is no-one important.
