Tom Daschle - Go away!
Tom Daschle - helps Bush get the bill through the Senate in October 2002 that is used in March 2003 to authorize our ill-advised invasion of Iraq.
Tom Daschle - June 2009 stabs the public in the back by saying the public option for health care should be taken off the table.
Tom Daschle - can't figure out what income to pay taxes on.
Tom Daschle - Go home and be quiet!

Yeah, he's trying to deliver us to the Republicans on a silver platter and he was supposed to be Secretary of HHS.
What's his role here? Is he supposed to champion some precooked right of center poison pill to kill off all hope of universal healthcare?

He's a very unusual person. I'm glad he's not Secretary of HHS.

He really doesn't have the stature to be a Daschle...much more a Dottle type.

Tom Daschle pretty much sums up everything that is wrong both in Washington and with the Democratic elite in Washington. It would be nice if he would retire somewhere out in his home state never to be heard from again.

I have to believe that he is now taking money from health industry interests who are vested in the profit making status quo. It wouldn't be as bad if Obama hadn't nominated him to head HHS, he's obviously using that nomination to underpin his advocacy for killing the public option.

He was taking money from the health care special interests before Obama nominated him. Daschle getting caught cheating on his taxes was a blessing in disguise for anyone who cares about real health care reform.

Daschle this morning on NPR said that no health care bill could pass on a strictly partisan basis, but failed to acknowledge that the Republicans are going to be unified against it, no matter what it is. His formulation leads logically to "the only possible health care bill that can pass this Democratically controlled Congress is a Republican bill." LOL WUT?
What's he doing to help?
He's wrong. What needs to happen, over and over again until the message sticks, is for Democrats to pass legislation on a party-line vote, so that Republicans begin to realize that their obstructionism is getting them nowhere.

Tom Daschle, the Newt Gingrich of the Right.
A loud, well-broadcast voice with no responsibility to any electorate any more. He already is retired, but the media has him on life-support. But he can afford it and that's the Right's policy, free access to all the healthcare you can afford!

Tom Daschle used to take a lot of money from HealthSouth, whose founder was just ordered by a court to pay 2.8 billion in damages for massive accounting fraud.
I don't know specifically who is paying Daschle right now, but it's certainly not average Americans.
