A couple of thoughts coming out of reading some posts at the Cafe today.

I was glad to see the Code Pink protestor with the "Impeach Bush now" shirt on in the background during Valerie Plame Wilson's & I was glad to hear a little chanting in the background between speakers. Reality actually enters the halls of Congress! I know many agree with me on this and I know many disagree.

Secondly, Gen. Pace believes homosexual conduct is immoral. I assume this believe is biblically based. It is time to remind people that many of the supporters of slavery and discrimination against women used the Bible to justify their beliefs. It think the anti-gay Bible interpretations are just as bogus as the pro-slavery and pro-discrimination against women interpretations. Some people still use the Bible (and/or the Koran) to discriminate against women. It's time to blow the whistle on this.

According to AP the Dems are backing down on insisting Bush come to Congress for authority to attack Iran. Thanks so much Dems were so ashamed ... oops... I mean proud of you.

So Dick Cheney is lecturing some in Congress on how they're hurting the troops. So this VP who's literally almost always wrong about everything is going to tell everyone else how they should act. Could we paraphrase Dick Cheney's comment about Nancy Pelosi, as a letter writer did recently in the Philadelphia Inquirer?

We question his judgment, not his patriotism.
