Driving home, I just heard the NPR 6:00 PM news summary. It was announced that we are shelling Sunni neighborhoods in Baghdad because suicide bombers live there. Does this strike anyone else as sick? We just shell the neighborhood, maybe kill or wound some suicide bombers, and maybe kill or wound a hell of a lot of other people. This is a brilliant way to win hearts and minds? This is not the United States government that liberated Europe from the Nazis. This is Bus/Cheney stupidity and immorality run amuck. History will not look kindly on us, if we continue to sit here like "good Germans" and put up with these war criminals.

Frank Rich writes a great column today (2/25). He warns that a "mushroom cloud" may be coming for real this time from Al Qaeda. Meanwhile Bush fiddles with Iraq while we follow American Idol and Anna Nicole just as in the summer of 2001 Bush fiddled at Crawford and we followed shark attacks and Gary Condit.

I can't believe people here don't want to discuss our survival. So why do I have a -1 so far? Should I post on Britney's bald head instead? Where is everybody or is it just a slow Sunday morning?
