Those Pesky E-Mails
It seems to me that there are some dots that need to be connected. First, Rove relied heavily on non-governmental e-mail accounts to avoid federal public records requirements. Then, Gov. Palin was found to be using personal e-mail accounts to avoid state public records requirements. Now, Gov. Blunt has been caught using non-governmental e-mail accounts, you quessed it, to avoid state public records requirements. It seems to me that a pattern is being unveiled. How many other Republican Governors may be attempting to circumvent public records acts? Where did they get the idea? It makes me wonder if there are some legal memoranda or RNC training seminar materials floating around that have promoted the idea of setting up shadow e-mail accounts for the purpose of circumventing public records acts on the federal and state level.
