God and Santa aren't the only one's keeping lists......

Hugh Hewitt interviews Pastor Rick Warren:

HH: You have stayed above scandal. Thank you for that, because so many Christian pastors, you know what happens when this happens, and we could name 30 of them, the damage they do.

RW: Yeah, I keep a list.

HH: You keep a list?

RW: Actually, I have what, Hugh, I've had it for almost 40 years. I call it a warnings file. And every time I watch somebody, and Satan has no temptations that are new. It's either money, sex or power. It's lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, the pride of life, and you have to know the antidotes, and you have to set up the parameters that keep you from even being tempted in those areas, which means for instance, I'm never alone, ever, ever alone with a woman, or even my myself when I'm traveling.

How about FREAKISH behavior?  Mormons missionaries are paired up for similar reasons.  They have to keep an eye on one another to make sure the other one is not sinning. 

So let's just say you don't trust yourself with women.  You have somebody with you at all times.  Check.  Why the hell do you keep a notebook filled with your lust addled ramblings?  For your future career in literary porn?  One quick question Rick.  Since you've been tracking your tendency toward lust for the last FORTY YEARS, could you possibly do science a big favor and give us some good graphs and trends over the decades?

Am I the only guy on the planet that isn't interested in cheating on his wife?  I'll fully admit to enjoying the perkish demeanor of an attractive woman, but have no trouble sorting out the difference between appropriate and inappropriate flirtage.

And I consider myself an atheist.  My soul would not rot in hell if I started screwing around on my wife, although my testicles might end up as cufflinks for her next husband....

Another excellent reason to embrace atheism and fidelity:  the paperwork is easier AND you get to keep your balls.
