Week of July 22, 2007 - July 28, 2007

April 28, 2007: I-M-P-E-A-C-H

Big day, A-28. It's National Impeachment Day. Thanks for your emails and alerts.

Outside the beltway, the Constitution is making a comeback in America. The impeachment drive is part of its revival. Millions of law-abiding Americans support impeachment as the proper response to the executives who lied us into war in Iraq.

It is not to late to heal America by fully restoring her priceless founding document, starting by exercising the provision of impeachment. Impeachment is the Constitutional way for the American people to remove lawless tyrants from executive power. Impeachment is the way to take our country back.

Like many of you, my own father was an American soldier. For my dad, and for his band of brothers and sisters -- the American soldiers in uniform today -- I want this country restored and the perpetrators removed from office.  The America of our fathers and mothers is a nation of laws, not men. Fellow citizens, today, of all days, I do declare, I-M-P-E-A-C-H! Again I say, I-M-P-E-A-C-H!

This blog entry is dedicated to the memory of my dad, 2nd Lieutenant P.A.H., on the anniversary of his birthday, April 28th.

Honor Roll of Veterans

With special thanks to fellow blogger, Chuck Keller, for inspiring me to begin an Honor Roll of TPM Cafe vets and veteran family members for us to hold in remembrance, I am privileged to pen for posterity the names of soldiers presented to my blog who have touched our lives with their service to our nation. We embrace each name for remembrance with our thoughts, prayers, and deepest appreciation on Memorial Day, the 28th of May, 2007.

It is our boundless responsibility to pay tribute to the sacrifices of generations of American soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guardsmen, especially those who have given their last full measure of devotion to our country. We highly honor and respect the friends and family of fallen comrades, including our Gold Star Mothers. To each of them, to each veteran here at TPM Cafe, and to all veterans, their families and friends, we heartily salute you!

Major Berkowitz represents to us the generations of women who have served and who have asked for no special treatment -- which makes them all the more special in our eyes. This year, we have selected these flowers for our beloved Honor Roll Veterans.
