GOP Losses
This is the headline from The Hill
Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) declared Tuesday night that the GOP is facing a tougher political environment than it did during the so-called Watergate Election of 1974, when Democrats scored major gains in Congress.
I don't agree with the assessment of Senator Ensign. He has postulated all manner of reasons for why republican losses were as dramatic as they were.
I think it has everything to do with the fact that republicans had chosen time and again to defend their indefensible choices and to continue to support members of their party who quite obviously transgressed eiher the law or ethical conduct or both.
They left voters with little choice except to hold republicans accountable where republicans themselves failed to do so.

One of the BEST things about the results of this election is the fact that "Sara" and "DUDE', (or is that DUD), will go back home and only make one state suffer.
I have always wanted to visit your great state especially during the time my step-brother was with the US Forestry up there to try and make sure the state kept the fantastic life as you know it. I never followed the elected officials of your state until this election and now that I have had the pleasure (?) of meeting one, I do not plan on following anymore of them.
I wish your great state my best wishes and hope you get through the Palin years without too much damage being done to your bank account. I don't know how much more you can pay to take care of her and her family but if I was you, I would be on the lookout for the bills coming through for the diapers for both her son and grandchild. You know there will be a bill for the house for her daughter and son-to-be-in-law that will be added to her places she stays and applies for per diem!
I still look forward to visiting your great state and would love to meet trooper Wooten since he seems to be one of the smart ones related to Sara. I say this since he was smart enough to get out of the family.
