Week of October 19, 2008 - October 25, 2008

Time for us bloggers to get to work on uncovering this Ashley Todd story.

Actually, by uncovering I mean pushing that the MSM covers the BLATANT pushing of this story by the McCain campaign and it's allies to make this story front paged news. A blog that was posted recently just said that http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/blogs/astral66/2008/10/smoking-gun-b-hoax-photographe.php the only people that got those pictures were the police and the College Republicans. The Police DID NOT reveal those pictures, DRUDGE DID and obviously with the McCain campaigns attempt to drive the narrative, giving the most vile version of the story, it is a fact that they are hiding the truth. NOT THIS TIME, it's time for ALL OF US to ask the questions and to spread the word on other blogs that the truth needs to be told and it needs to be told NOW. We cannot allow these people to lie about something this vicious that could have really caused a national wave of hate and divisiveness. I will say it again,    it's time to get to work guys and girls, the truth needs to be told and we have to make sure that happens.

BlackmenforMcCain is endorsing....................Obama?

http://blackmenformccain.com/2008/10/18/barack-obama-for-president/

I know this would sound a bit, shall I say, interesting, but a website LITERALLY devoted to showing African Americans can support McCain wholeheartedly has officially endorsed Obama. You should really read the story, it is truly deep and really helps you understand the mind of a true conservative who seems to have had an incredible epiphany.

Here is the best part:

I feel like a stranger to my all-too-recent self. There was an obstinance to my thinking, a stubborn determination to stick to the "values" of Republicanism, even when the moral failure of that ideology was staring me in the face. It is remarkable that in spite of the disaster of the past 8 years, so many of us continue to believe in that story, to stay Republican on faith alone. We have been told from a young age that belief is the greatest virtue, that faith makes a man. But it doesn't. In this case, faith just makes a good consumer.

We are the wealthiest country in the world, and yet we are the only industrialized nation where a health problem can bankrupt an otherwise secure financial existence. We tell our citizens that cutting taxes for the wealthiest will somehow "trickle down" to them, but it simply doesn't. The idea that every man must live and work for himself has not served us well. If we are to survive, we must embrace a shared purpose.

So I will vote for Barack Obama on November 4th.

I will vote for him because I want to learn from our past and evolve to a better future. I will vote for him for my children, in hopes that their American story will not mirror mine. But most of all, I will vote Obama because my father would have done it, as a final dissertation on his experience in this life. He may not have the opportunity to put his change of heart into action. But by changing me, he already has.
