THAT is the soundbyte that can help frame the debate. Post this on Dailykos, huff, thinkprog, open left and etc. I have sent it to everyone in my email and you should do the same. LET'S GET TO WORK.

It seems like the meeting started very cordially with everyone getting their turn to speak, specifically, Obama talked about his 4 main themes that he wants instituted in the plan. After everyone had there chance to speak and it seemed about everyone but Shellby was on board John McCain went into a very vauge argument about the House Republicans and their plan. After this John Boehner went into his rant about the plan and Barack Obama then asked Hank Paulson if there is a way that this can be instituted into the plan. Paulson responded basically by saying this is a non starter. Bush also responded "We have to fix this or the sucker (the economy) is going down" and that led to some P.O.'d Democrats who felt they were so close to a deal and then a wrench was thrown in. That led to the meeting ending off on the wrong foot and all these news reports divulging that more deliberating needs to be done.

I don't mean this politically whatsoever. Personally I don't care who comes out on top in this particular crisis because O has already garnered the confidence needed. What I am talking about is substantive. I WANT the parties to look at this plan again I WANT all other options to be exaccerbated before they sign off, I WANT them to look at their plan over and over again. This is something that will affect the next generation, so it BETTER be the best of the worst (there is only bad and terribel). I WANT more time to be taken thinking about this, the stakes are much too high to just rush through this. So for the first time in my adult life, I say, THANK YOU House Republicans, you have given much more time for deliberation and to make sure we do this RIGHT.

You heard me say it. If Obama wins with 51% of the vote to McCains 48 it will be an electoral landslide. That would be a 6 point swing from 04. With Kerry winning 252 electoral college votes and O getting about 8-10 million more votes than him (take account for the soon to be increased turnout) it will certainly be 300-330 electoral votes garnered. It may LOOK close if that is the outcome, but that map will certainly say something different.

Did George Bush bring up the Keating 5 during his nasty primary battle with John McCain?
Exactly....
