More Lies from Obama Exposed!

As reported in National Review Online in this link:
 http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZDFkMGE2MmM1M2Q5MmY0ZmExMzUxMWRhZGJmMTAyOGY=

Obama attended a tribute dinner for his 'frequent dinner companion and close friend' Rashid Khalidi, former spokesman for the PLO and former babysitter for the Obama children. Also attending and making testimonials were Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who were described as 'best friends' of the terrorist supporter and Obama babysitter. The party  was sponsored by the Arab American Action Network (AAAN), an anti-Israel lobby group founded by Khalidi and his wife. The AAAN received a $75,000 donation from the Woods fund while both Ayers and Obama served on it's board. So, of this group of friends, 80% are supporters of terrorism and are opposed to the existence of Israel. All except Obama. He doesn't share their views. Trust him.

Bulldog, you're obviously entitled to your views, but I'd be willing to bet the house that citing NRO around here isn't exactly going to incite thoughtful dialogue.

user-pic

The info, rather than the source, should be what matters.

user-pic
All except Obama. He doesn't share their views. Trust him.

Phew! Thanks, cause I was worried there for a minute. Will take your advice to trust him and go vote Obama right now.

user-pic

Agreed. You are entitled to your views and opinions.

That said, would you like to reevaluate your post from September 4, 2008?

The one titled: "WOW!! You guys are so screwed!"

"After Palin's amazing debut .... She totally destroyed 'The One'"

and ended with: "She completely changed the game last night. Any bets now on when Obama dumps Biden for Hillary?"

user-pic

Wow. Do you never research any of the crap you post? Apparently, in the article YOU CITE - the reporter who "claims" there is a video floating around out there is none other than Peter Wallsten, the author of
"One Party Country: The Republican Plan for Dominance in the 21st Century."

Ooooh yeah...that is a unbiased source, his work for the LA times not withstanding.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Party_Country

user-pic

Did you read the story? In the article from the Times, it is reported they have a tape of the event.

user-pic

They accidentally recorded over the dinner video with Michelle's "whitey" tape.
Too bad!

user-pic

Damn!

I was specifically led to believe that the Terrorist Dinner tape, and Michelle's Whitey tape, would be available to order as stocking stuffer just in time for Christmas!

user-pic

I read the article(s) you linked to. Lot of right wing conjecture and unsubstantiated claims. You're gonna have to do better than that in your quest to convince voters that Obama is a terrorist (or terrorist sympathizer). It's too late, and it was never going to work anyway. And it's not because the evidence is being suppressed by the massive conspiracy that haunts your fevered imagination - there is no evidence because IT'S NOT TRUE!

Time to roll over, bulldog! Enough of your hate tactics and demonization of your opponents. This is America! In the spirit of what's best for our nation, make your arguments based on fact and reasoning, then let the people decide.

user-pic

And get down off the couch!

user-pic

Odd how the original LA Times article didn't mention anything about Ayers or Dohrn. For that matter, the original LA Times article stated that Khalidi 'decried suicide bombings against civilians as a "war crime"'

user-pic

Oh, Unclever One, still haven't figured out how to properly embed a link?

user-pic

Ooh, scary organization.
From their web site:

"In partnership with CAAAELII, instructors provide personalized tutoring to help students prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Exam, and workshops and Parenting Skills classes to support Arab and Muslim immigrants in learning about and understanding life in the U.S. In the last five years, 98% of AAAN students have passed their Citizenship Exams on the first try. We also assist in the filling out of basic immigration forms, and refer clients to lawyers and advocates for immigration counseling."

Zero mention of Israel anywhere at their site. They are all about Arabs here, not elsewhere.

user-pic

Not to be the second of what I suspect to be a rather large pile on. NRO you've got to be kidding me! To say these folks have a poor track record of late for vetting or fact checking their stories would be an understatement of massive proportions.

Their kids went to the same Chicago Lab School this is not baby sitting.

Next Obama has never denied knowing Rashid Khalidi, who is head of Mid-East Studies at Columbia University. However he has disagreed consistently with Rashid's personal positions on the Israel / Palestinian conflict as Rashid himself has stated.

Finally the AAAN is a local community based organization that assist the Chicago based Arab American community only. It is not a national organization nor does it hold anti-israeli views.

Louise Cainkar, an associate professor of sociology at Marquette University, formerly served on the AAAN board and specifically remembers the 2001 grant from the Woods Fund.

“It was after the Sept. 11 attacks,” said Cainkar. “Many Arab-Americans were being victimized by hate crimes. It was a hostile environment. That was an essential grant to cope with what community members were facing.”

Money was used to educate Arab-Americans about their civil rights, how to report hate crimes to law enforcement and to organize the community.

Chicago has the country’s largest Palestinian-American community, said Cainkar, who is writing a book about the Arab-American experience after 9/11. Many of them are critical of Israeli government policies, she said.

“Does the organization takes sides? No,” she said. “Do individuals? I’m sure they do.

“AAAN is a community organization and they are careful about not getting involved in anything with foreign policy.”

Harrington, president of the Woods Fund, called it “pretty ridiculous” to suggest the AAAN promotes anti-Israeli ideas.

Finally: If one candidate/party is trying to scare you, and the other one is trying to make you think, if one candidate's appealing to your fears, and the other one's appealing to your hopes. You better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope.

user-pic

You should vote for the one telling the truth. That's not Obama.

user-pic

Uh, Ok. What on earth would you know about the truth.

Also, I hear Rashid Khaldi is personally hiding Saddam's weapons of mass destruction in his apartment. You should check it out.

user-pic

In your opinion. To which I do not agree. See here's the basic problem Clever. Thanks to the likes of Rove and the past at eight years of one lie after another. The scream of LIES from your side seem to have the opposite effect on me. And so far after 24 months of these screams from the right all we are left with is a steaming pile of BS.`

user-pic

Hillary made the same points, she is hardly on 'the right', except when compared to Obama. So you ignore facts when presented by democrat or republican if they are detrimental to Obama. That's your choice, so be it.

user-pic

Hillary no more proved them you have.

user-pic

I should really always use the preview button the above should read- Hillary no more proved them than you have.

user-pic

Because you refuse to see the proof. Your mind is closed, and you deny any evidence that challenges your view, or you attack the source of the evidence.

user-pic

This summerizes how I really feel about NRO and your other dubious sources.

A roundup (via Andrew Sullivan) of conservative anti-Obama blogging during the election. Much of it has appeared on popular right-wing Web sites, including National Review Online, disclosing the “news” that Bill Ayers wrote “Dreams from My Father,”. . . [snip]

Wading for a few minutes through the sewage of these Web sites reminds me uncannily of the time I’ve spent having political discussions in certain living rooms and coffee shops in Baghdad. The mental atmosphere is exactly the same—the wild fantasies presented as obvious truth, the patterns seen by those few with the courage and wisdom to see, the amused pity for anyone weak-minded enough to be skeptical, the logic that turns counter-evidence into evidence and every random piece of information into a worldwide conspiracy. Above all, the seething resentment, the mix of arrogance and impotent rage that burns at the heart of the paranoid style in politics.

George Packer

user-pic

When you can't dispute the evidence, attack the source, right?

user-pic

Which one of you has the "Secret Dinner Video Tape" ??

Newsmax reports that it started at the LA Times -- Then went hidden in a knapsack & transported via burro to Media Matters -- Then it was flown stashed in a purple & pink hippie flower box (with two orange bows) to The Daily Kos -- & the last confirmed movement was just a few days ago, when it was sighted inside of Madonna's stage gear 18 wheeler headed for a private showing at a San Francisco fundraiser for Prop 8.

user-pic

Bulldog and I prefer McCain because he has birthday parties with Russian front men in shady former Yugoslav territories like Montenegro in August, 2006. Follieri was partying with McCain while also spending Russian money to secure a Mediterranean port for the Russians in Montenegro where real communists still roam.

McCain, Rick, Follieri Love Boat, Montenegro, August 2006

user-pic

ONLY REAL AMERICANS WHO PUT COUNTRY FIRST party in former communist countries with no preconditions!!!!

user-pic

Well, sure, but Yugoslavia was the good kind of communist, remember?

Uh... remember? Right guys? Right, huh...?

Never mind.

user-pic

to continue:

McCain and his lobbyist associate Rick Davis of Davis Manafort (yes, McCain's presidential campaign manager has his own lobby firm, it is named after him) like Montenegro birthday parties with convicted felons.

The sad news for us McCain supporters is Raffaello Follieri won't be able to funnel more cash to McCain or his lobbyist buddy anymore as Follieri was just sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison for duping investors into believing he had a special relationship with the Vatican and was stealing their money. user-pic

Come here, little dog...let's talk. Your owner has obviously given you an unearned sense your own importance and no training on how to play nice w/ others. You are not clever, you are just a crabby little contrarian. Your ideas would be received better if you occasionally had something positive to say. Spending your whole life so negative and angry must be hard on you...it's no wonder you growl and snap so often.

user-pic

Seriously dog, you need to go investigate the background of John McCain and apply some real scrutiny.

You are being lied to, used, and manipulated by your party and your candidates. I feel sorry for you.

user-pic

McCain was not my personal choice, for several reasons, but not because he was a threat to our survival. Obama is a dangerous, left wing extremist. One need only look at the number of friends that he has that are bent on destroying this country to question his fitness for office. It's not just that he has no experience, it's that he is personally and philosophically aligned with dangerous radicals. At any other time in history, he would not even have been considered a serious candidate. He is Ralph Nader with charisma. It's not me I worry for. I have the funds to move anywhere I choose, and can live comfortably. It's this country that is in serious danger.

user-pic

This is so dumb. I'm glad of the rec feature, since this hate-filled uninformed post will go down in flames shortly.

But I just have to say - why is it that the GOP trolls never ever post under their real name? I'm not saying we don't have our own share of anon cowards. Just that the trolls are *always anon*.

Good thing you can just ditch that name, dawg, when you lose horribly next week.

user-pic

Dog - where you gonna go?

There is a sea of socialism out there from Germany to Australia. There are lots of foreigners.

They also won't let you bring your guns.

America is the last best home for right wing zealots so an expatriate Republican might be a very lonely guy.

user-pic

Very true. It's a shame you left wing nuts don't just move to Cuba or some other socialist hellhole, instead of destroying this country. I checked into a number of options, but few allow guns, especially the type/quantity that I have. I have a home in Canada now, and property in the Bahamas, but neither are a good permanent choice. Ironically, most of Europe is moving to the right at this time, so I expect we will hear leftists screaming that we need to be more like them (Ha!).

user-pic

LOL

House in Bahamas. House in Canada. House here.

You just tipped your hat.

Self-interest is just so ugly. Thanks, dawg, for a textbook example.

user-pic

No house in Bahamas, just land. As far as self interest, what about all the appeals to vote Obama to get that 'middle class tax cut'? As for me, my income now is diddly squat, so I would gain under Obama (assuming he is telling the truth, which he is not). I opposed high taxes since I was a kid, because I wanted opportunity to excel, not because I was rich (I was raised in a 1 income, blue collar union home)

user-pic

This is quite possibly the weakest bunch of excuses I've ever heard.

Opposed taxes when you were a kid? What kid thinks about taxes?

I don't believe a word of what you said, you started in a losing position with your OP, and your attempts to CYA are just not resonating with me.

Have a nice day!

user-pic

A kid like me who walked to the Nixon HQ from my grade school to get a campaign pin. I stayed up late to see if Reagan could beat Ford for the nomination. Too bad if you can't believe it.

user-pic

Being a Nixon lapdog is something you're proud of? Fascist.

user-pic

And that makes you Obama supporters communists? Or just terrorists? Maybe both?

user-pic

Oh by the way "opposed high taxes".

Taxes pay for police.

Taxes pay for the fire department.

Taxes pay for roads.

Taxes pay for teachers and everyone else involved in keeping public education alive.

Taxes pay for war.

Taxes pay for diplomacy.

Taxes pay for food for hungry people.

Taxes pay for homeland security.

Taxes pay for the TSA.

Taxes pay for rebuilding parts of our country damaged by weather.

If you think paying taxes is unpatriotic, or that people with money should not give more to this system (when, by definition, the system has been GOOD to you) you are self-serving. Like I said, it's freaking ugly. Cut it out.

user-pic

Note I said I opposed HIGH Taxes, not all taxes. Of course taxes pay for all the gov't services we use, but we ALL use them, and 40% of the people don't pay a dime for them. It's the Obama approved wealth redistribution taxes that I oppose most, paying people to not work and taking it from those who work hard. BTW, none of this relates to Obama and his terror associates, I am not running for president.

user-pic

Uh, 40% don't pay a dime? Citation needed.

user-pic

google 40% pay no taxes, take the link of your choice.

user-pic

What a bunch of complete shash.

I've been in the poor class / lower middle class all my life. This is just lies. Right now the govt is taking a huge chunk of flesh out of me that I cannot afford.

Just lies.

user-pic

And GRRR shame on you for putting this on poor people. Your true colors are really starting to shine through now.

If anyone doesn't pay enough taxes, it's corporations who make big profits and find loopholes so they don't have to pay.

Putting this down to the poor is just evil. For someone who claims to come from a poor background, you should clearly see what you are doing.

Stop lying so much, your nose is going to fall off.

user-pic

Corporations don't pay tax. Only their customers, employees, and shareholders do. Raise taxes on corporations, and you will kill job growth. If companies have less money, they will not be able to expand (fewer jobs), not be able to give pay raises to current employees, have to raise prices (inflation), and cut dividend payments to shareholders. All outcomes are bad. All hurt people like the ones you claim to want to help.

user-pic

So now we're down to it, eh? You believe in trickle down economics still. When CEOs stop taking golden parachutes, I'll cry you a nice river.

user-pic

I'm in favor of regulating CEO pay to protect shareholders, but that is a separate issue. CEO pay does not alter the fact that corporations pass taxes on to shareholders, employees, or customers. That is simply a fact. Or they are simply less profitable and uncompetitive, and go bankrupt.

user-pic

Failed GOP economics is not really going to impress anyone here you know. If a company puts the CEO before the customers, shareholders, employees as you say, that company DESERVES TO GO DOWN BURNING IN FLAMES. Have a nice evening!

user-pic

Oh shit, Obama knows someone with a Muslim-sounding name?

We are all. Going. To die.
