Wingnut Brigade Mowed Down At Obama Ridge

Read about the latest outrage being stirred up in Right Blogistan. The brave patriotic chairborne rangers are outraged, simply outraged, by something Obama said last night with regard to real support for troops in harms way. Clink on the link in the Best. Headline. Evah and follow the links in Josh's post.

We may be bickering over two damn fine candidates, but the Right is about to implode. Aaaaahhhhhh! Good Times!

He's Inside Her OODA Loop

The 527’s now gearing up to do whatever it is they hope to do will have little or no effect.

The Obama campaign is an example of 4th Generation asymmetrical warfare. You can read an excellent summary of how Obama is now inside Hillary’s OODA Loop in this James Fallows’ blog post.

OODA stands for Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act. To react to changing reality faster than the opponent can, or to interfere with the opponent’s ability to perceive what is happening to him, is to “get inside his OODA loop.”

Now that Obama is inside the Clinton OODA loop—he has out thought her and successfully anticipates her every move—when she throws a punch he isn’t there. There’s nothing Clinton can do. It is too late for her to do anything that will save her campaign. Out-organized and out-thought, the Clinton campaign awaits almost certain defeat.

Clinton can muster all the negative campaigning she wants. Obama no longer attacks Clinton with more than a compendious response to a specific criticism aired during the current news cycle. He now moves past her to face the Main Enemy.

The end game is nigh.

A Solution for Florida?

Dan Gelber, Florida House Democratic Leader proposes a mail-in run off election to settle the Florida delegate issue.

So let me suggest a way that not only gets us out of the jam but might even turn out to be better than we could ever hope for. Host a run-off election by mail and include Independent voters. The DNC has already indicated it would approve a compliant election, and a statewide vote by mail should qualify. It is less expensive than caucuses and more inclusive, and I think we could raise the money needed in short order, perhaps with some help from the DNC. Further, why not include registered Independent voters in the election. I promise you, Republicans will quickly stop laughing when they watch Florida Democrats not simply unite but also reach out to the crucial block of voters (Independents) that will be determining who wins Florida in November. Also, a vote by mail would be an invaluable organizing tool for the general election so the money we spent would have added utility.
Gelber is on to something here. I, for one, think this is an effective and fair way to make sure Florida voters don't get left out because local party officials and Republicans put the screws to them.
