It didn’t take long for the media outcries of “foul” following last night’s debate. Keith Olbermann started spinning less than a minute after the debate ended. The outrage continues this morning with op-eds, cable talk show opinion, and radio hosts scrambling to defend their messiah. I like Barack Obama, but the media should be ashamed of themselves for their blatant partisanship following the debate on ABC.

If I didn’t know any better I would have thought Charles Gibson or George Stephanopoulos accused Barack Obama of being a child molester. The anger from all facets of the media regarding the questions asked of Barack Obama is embarrassing. Instead of focusing on the actual debate and the substantive answers from both candidates, the focus has been placed on ABC and the moderators.

My boy Keith looked like he was going to start ripping off his suit and pulling a Hulk Hogan last night. What was Keith’s main topic of conversation on MSNBC in his “post-debate coverage?” Keith was outraged that George Stephanopoulos would ask a question that was given to him by Sean Hannity and “another right-wing radio talk show host in New York.” Chris Matthews continued his sitcom analogy this morning when characterizing the race. Greg Mitchell described the debate as shameless. Josh Marshall called the debate…gasp, “an unmitigated travesty!” How pathetic all the way around.

The reaction this morning tells you all that you need to know about the bias towards Obama by the media. The media loves this guy. How dare anyone question him about Jeremiah Wright? How dare anyone question him about William Ayers? How dare anyone question him about his bitterness comment? How dare anyone question his patriotism? It is a good thing someone did because lord knows the media has given him a leather chair and a free ride on any controversial issues.

I think last night’s debate won Pennsylvania for Hillary Clinton hands down. The state has been more or less up for grabs as Hillary’s poll numbers continue to dwindle. Most of small-town Pennsylvania doesn’t watch cable news or may even get cable. Most of the smaller, blue collar towns get their news from the big three networks. This is the first time most of them have probably heard about Obama’s most controversial issues. I imagine those that gave him a pass on Jeremiah Wright are second-guessing themselves after hearing about William Ayers. These undecided voters likely made their minds up after hearing this news. These people are Hillary’s base of voters. Hillary won Pennsylvania by double digits after last night’s debate.

Was the debate the biggest piece of tabloid television that most critics have called it? I really don’t think so. I think that America has every right to get to know their candidates. Don’t get upset at the question, be upset at the answer. Obama looked terrible last night. Instead of addressing the questions, Obama deflected everything from the William Ayers question to the Jeremiah Wright question. I can’t stand a politician from either side of the fence that deflects a question. To me, that is gutless and a cheap way out.

So now what? This morning, Morning Joe took a poll among its viewers who thought Obama won the debate by over 70%. Now anyone with an objective eye will tell you that he lost the debate last night. The people that supported him before the debate will use this as a rallying cry just as the media are doing. People that are undecided probably wouldn’t be undecided if they were watching cable news regularly in the first place. Those are now Hillary’s voters.

Be careful what you wish for. You Obama supporters that are willing to look past all of the obvious holes in your candidate are going to be in for a rude awakening in November. If you thought those Swift Boat ads were bad, you haven’t seen anything yet. I don’t blame you for not knowing your candidate. Don’t worry. You will hear it all from John McCain’s friends in just a few months. All of it!

Chelsea Clinton gets better press protection than the Pope. Yesterday, Princess Clinton snapped at a student who asked a question about her mother. “It’s none of your business,” she said to an ovation by a bunch of kool-aid drinking fans. Ironically this comes on the same day that her father says if you aren’t tough enough to take the heat, get out of politics.

This isn’t the first time that Chelsea has snapped at someone during a stump speech. Chelsea snapped at another person who asked a question about her mother’s Bosnia lie. After watching these two videos on You Tube, I have come to a simple conclusion regarding the princess. Chelsea Clinton is a bitch.

It isn’t what she said that bothers me it is how she said it. Search on You Tube and I am sure you will find the videos in question. She comes off like a brat with an attitude. Immediately her tone changes and with a smile, she talks down to the person like they are a peasant. This is the same woman that turned down a question from a 9-year old. Remember, Chelsea doesn’t take questions from the press. Apparently Chelsea doesn’t discriminate on age either with her press restrictions.

There is a difference in being unfair to a candidate’s child who isn’t in the public eye and one who puts herself there. Keep in mind that Chelsea isn’t a little girl anymore. She is a 28-year old, college educated, professional adult. Chelsea will take questions from college students and retirement homes, but don’t dare ask Chelsea a question if you are from the press. Several members of the press have accused the campaign of being downright nasty whenever the request for a Chelsea interview is presented.

Was the question asked to Princess Clinton out of bounds? I don’t think so. It wasn’t as if the gentleman asked a rude or inappropriate question. Hey, don’t get mad at the kid. Get mad at her father who was the one who had relations with the intern. It isn’t as if Hillary hasn’t used this incident to her own benefit on the campaign. Remember the Texas debate? “I think everybody here knows I’ve lived through some tough times.”

I can go back to the last campaign and point out the hypocrisy in this force-field placed around Chelsea. Remember when John Edwards dropped Dick Chenye’s daughters name and her sexuality during a debate? The coverage the Bush twins received in 2004 was merciless. The Bush twins weren’t giving interviews yet that didn’t stop the press. I didn’t hear anyone from the Bush family go on television and blast the media for covering the twins. Chelsea is getting a walk in the park compared to coverage that the girls received.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too. As a traveling surrogate, she has willingly put herself into the spotlight. Chelsea has lived a life full of the fruits of being the daughter of a United States President. Chelsea could have nipped this in the bud immediately by answering the question. Don’t be surprised to see this get worse. Chelsea is an intelligent woman who can do better than “none of your business.” What is she hiding anyway? Why won’t she answer questions? Why aren’t the media doing their job when it comes to Chelsea?

Don’t you have a right to question someone who is spewing political rhetoric to your college kids or your elderly parent? She will take questions from a 93-year old with Alzheimer’s but not anyone from the press. Since when is it okay to give a political speech without being questioned on what you are saying? The last time I checked I didn’t think I was living in Russia.

I love this woman. I mean I really do. You know you have problems when even Sinbad disagrees with you. Hell, that guy hasn’t made an enemy since he took Gallagher’s spot at the Laugh House in 1979.

The lies, deceit, and embellished tales continue to spin from the self-proclaimed leader of the race for the Democratic nomination. Hillary’s newest tale is about her trip to Bosnia. It appears that Hillary’s heroic tale of visiting Bosnia under gunfire and attack may be more fiction than fact. As a matter of a fact, other than visiting Bosnia the entire account of the trip has turned into one big lie or four Pinnochios.

By now, I am sure you have seen the actual video from the trip. Hillary is greeted by a little girl with a flower as she arrives. No, not the blazing gunfire as Hillary described in her speech last week. My favorite part of this story is the video of Hillary singing at a U.S.O. event.

If we were to believe Hillary, she was sent to the region because it was too dangerous for her husband. Yes, we are now going to send our First Lady and her daughter into war zones instead of the President of the United States. I had to laugh when she said this. I wasn’t laughing at the idea. I was laughing at the fact that she thinks the American people are dumb enough to believe her.

Hillary’s newest fable comes from meeting with editors of the Daily News today. “And also remember that pledged delegates in most states are not pledged. You know, there is no requirement that anybody vote for anybody. They’re just like superdelegates.” Huh?

The media loves this, which is probably why nobody is asking the obvious. Why is this race even continuing? The numbers are the numbers and she isn’t going to catch Obama. She could always put her campaign on hold in case Obama is hit with a scandal that he can’t recover from. Chris Matthews said it best when he said that the Clintons have turned this race into a sitcom. There are important issues in this country that need to be talked about. Yet, everyday is another page in this dog and pony show otherwise known as the Hillary Clinton campaign.

It isn’t just about the trip to Bosnia that is the outrage here. It’s the bull about counting Florida and Michigan, subordinates, Bosnia, delegate counts, superdelegates, day after day, it is one thing after another with this woman. Did you notice that she never apologizes for anything? Either she misspoke, it wasn’t her, or anything other than an “I’m sorry.” She is like the bully down the street who smiles in front of the parents and hits your kid when you aren’t looking.

The race is over and this charade has to stop. The trip to Bosnia is just another example of a woman desperately trying to hold on in a losing battle. The numbers don’t lie and she can’t win. Could you imagine the bull that would come out of her White House if she was President? If you think the lies coming out of the Bush White House are bad, you haven’t seen anything yet.
