Republicans are invested in America's Failure
The slightest indication of gains in the stock market, while not much of a big deal necessarily, could however signal a troubling prospect for the Republican Party and its mouthpiece, the Talk Radio crack-heads like Rush Limbaugh and Hannity who have invested the revival of their unraveling party in the failure of an American president simply because he is black and he is a Democrats. Republican intolerance of non-white Americans is common knowledge. If down the road the economy begins to show unmistakable signs of recovery, they are going to talk it down even far worse than they are doing right now. They want their power back. That is why Obama and his economy have to fail. And anything that stands in the way will be taken out.

Some of these evil doers not only wish the economy to fail, the legislation to fail but actually hope we are attacked again.

After one Waterloo every year during the last 8 years of the Cheney/Dumbya administration, God's Own Party may be running out of the power or the ability to do more damage to America.
They are also distracted, busy as alley dogs dispensing their precious Republican bodily fluids.

A question: why would anyone living here be invested in the country's failure? To turn it into a failed state like North Korea or something?
What's the motive?

This one is easy - so they can "rescue" it.

Republicans worship money. They absolutely believe that the more money one has, the more privileged they are and the more privileged they should be treated. That they should be able to do, buy and say anything that they damn well please.
Rather like a very spoiled, badly parented two year old child.

Oh I need to add one more thing. Republicans believe they should be able to do what ever they damn well can to make money. Legal or not.

Actually Obama and the Democrats better not trumpet the latest Wall Street rally as a sign their policies are a success. The gains reflect investor's surprise at relatively good 2nd quarter profits which were generated by companies cutting jobs and costs. Until people are put back to work it will remain bleak in the real world economy as opposed to the one that inhabits the realm of the corporate ledger.
But the R's tried to set up Obama and the D's for failure on this when they watered down the president's stimulus package. There should have been little or no tax breaks as part of that package.

Wow! You all are so quick to berate and stereotype ALL republicans. You are a bunch of hypocrits! Nothing is allowed to be said to question Obama. No one can make a comment or an image about an liberal because it is racist and degrading. You are stereotyping and demonizing though. What is the difference?
Not all republicans want the economy to fail. I am scared to death we are being run into the ground, so I pray and I contact my representatives. Few republicans echo Rush's idea on this point.
Not all republicans love money more than people. Most don't feel that way. We do think people should work to eat though. We do think that we should have the freedom to decide what charities to give to. We do think it is unfair to work hard just to have the money redistributed to those who decide not to contribute to society. Most do support helping those who truly need it--disabled and seniors. NOT abled bodied people on welfare. It is our right to believe these ideas. It should be our right to decide where our money goes too.
I'd like to see more people intelligently discussing ideas and less berating of republicans. Verbally abusive comments are below the belt and accomplish nothing.

This blog post says it all.
They pretend they love it, but if America doesn't walk lockstep with their ideology, they're ready to abandon it. Just like the Fox commentator who basically said that the Taliban should kill one of our soldiers.
Some loyalty, that.
(Can the Taliban help us out with that pundit as well??)
I posted this elsewhere but the latest PEW survery showed a stunning turn around in America's image around the world. The MSM ignored it opf course (if the GOP had done this, we would never hear the end of it). But you'd think that anyone who is so patriotic as our GOP friends would hail this kin of thing -- proud to be an American, and all.

Republicans love Red America and hate everyone else.
