The Republicans unbending wish for America's failure
Republican Patrick McHenry's reported statement to the effect that the Republican Party's mission is to bring down the approval numbers of House Democrats is in line with Rush Limbaugh's now infamous declarative statement about his wishing for President Barack Obama's failure. These cynical statements spewed by Republicans should live no doubt in anyone's mind that the Re-p'ubicans put their narrow ideological interests ahead of the interests of the United States and its people. Remember how they dragged the then President Clinton through the mud without regard to averse ramification to the country?

One should never miss an opportunity to point out that Republicans tried to impeach the President at the very moment when he was trying to hunt down Osama and Mohammed Atta was learning to fly.
I know from personal experience and family connections that one of the reasons that wingnut Republicans want Obama to fail is that they think they will benefit from total economic collapse. They imagine themselves buying up vast sums of assests if the economy totally bottoms out, that is how fortunes are made and that is what they want.
Another variation of this theme is the gun nut holed up in his exurban ranchette, armed to the teeth, waiting for and wanting social chaos. They imagine themselves to be the alpha dogs of social darwinism, the only people who "take care of themselves". The reality is that they are pathetically insecure, socially and sexually, and their guns and money only serve to prop up their delusions of control.

What is wrong with being against a "stimulus/recovery" plan that you think will do more harm than good? I want our country to succeed, but I am not in favor of Obama's plan. I think it will fail.
But you guys on here are paying too much attention to Rush in the first place. He's an entertainer like Olberman, O'Reilly and Madow. Stop taking him so seriously

Obama and the Democrats failed to save the homeowners from the biggest fear. Losing ones home and being forced to live on the street.
The people realize the half measures the Obama team have presented for homeowners, are nothing but BS and will not slow down the descent.
There is no confidence; there will be no confidence.
When the Obama team tries to put one over on the people, bailing out the banks and auto companies and then giving half measures to the homeowners.
Stick your plans. You snake oil pitchmen.
Time is running out and everyday you try to sell this garbage as a solution, we keep going down.
Republican obstructionism doesn’t help either.
