Where Obama missed the boat was everytime McCain said he was going to take care of children, take care of special needs people and that kind of stuff -- was to comeback forcefully with: "And just how do you intend to pay for that John."

But you are right. We want our pot holes fixed, the ordinaces and laws enforced, our school to get its share of the money, our country defended and bail us out of a financial mess. But - we always vote to cut taxes. Only ours not theirs. Cut programs but not ours only those other guys.

No one realizes that what is pork to them is bread and butter to someone else. Cut thier pork but not mine.

Amen. This guy's only importance to McCain was that he made a point but Obama made his own points by showing that this guy was just one of those who happened to hit the fence at a quater of a million.

I saw thru it. Just a way to make a wedge. McCain knew he couldn't help him any better.

Besides Obama said and proved there would be no fine, that there would be a tax exemption for providing insurance, and he would make sure his family had healthcare. McCain just used him but never said how he would help him with specifics.

Better buy it now, that quater million business won't be touched at that price next year. If McCain is elected maybe it won't even exist.

Agree - when you make a list of conservative ideas or people who have done good. The list of bad things, ideas, and proposals is far bigger. Maybe that is why so many are trying on the populist hat.
