As we close one door and open another, I think we need to consider where we are as a party and how best to gently close that door and not close anyone out.

Our supporters are currently very divided and emotions are running very high. If we are to come together again, which we need to do if we are going to stand tall against the Republicans this fall, we need to allow Hillary's supporters (who believe in her just as much as we believe in Barack) to grieve and work through their emotions with dignity and respect. There is no right or wrong in this situation, just different. Allowing the primaries to run out their course gives both candidates an opportunity to start bringing their supporters together. It won't be easy and Hillary has a tough job ahead of her, but it has to be done and she is really the only one who can do it. She has been a fierce and awesome competitor -- not for me, but all of that and then some.

Know hope.
