Well, Didya?
Given all the blog talk last week and over the weekend about eating right and exercising...
Did you eat breakfast?
Did you exercise?
Did you throw the bums a dime?
I said I *try* to exercise as long each day as I spend online (non-work-related). I walked fifteen minutes today, so my time online is up.... unless I bike with the dogs later. Happy Monday!

Well I danced last night but I always dance:)
And my daughter moves out along with her cat into her own apartment and starts college in a couple of weeks and then I can get the dog I've been wanting for a long time.
I live in Boulder with so many beautiful places to hike but I prefer some company and with a dog... well if you've got to walk better to make it beautiful and interesting. Besides now that I am fully committed to embarking on a singing career I need to get in better shape and build my stamina.
I always find that eating better tends to follow regular exercise and focusing on food just makes me think about what I can't or shouldn't have and the thoughts of deprivation seem to create a need for those things. Staying focused on the exercise I enjoy seems to work for me.

I wish I could say that Central Florida was an interesting place to walk. It isn't. Just flat and boring and far too over built...yuck.

I've walked along canals teeming with alligators in central Florida...but I bet it is sticky outside today.

Getting a dog six years ago, and a second dog five years ago, changed my outlook about walking and biking. Also, walking them made me fall in love all over again with the neighborhood I live in.
BTW, both dogs came from the local shelters. Take a look - http://wwww.dogster.com/dogs/426563

Can you all still go to Cannon Park downtown? Coolest unofficial dogpark in all of Charleston don't ya know!

Yes, but I prefer Hazel Parker Playground near Rainbow Row, the Greenway (parallel with Savannah Highway), the Ackerman Dog Park on Sycamore, and James Island County Park where they can swim.
Also you can bike with dogs on the beach at Kiawah.

Walked to & from my client's offices today, breakfast was good, dinner last night was good. I just try to do things like that every day, or at least much more often than not.
Easy at home, not so easy on the road.

A long time ago I heard a dietitian give a compelling talk and her opening and ending lines were the same..."Do better today than yesterday." That's all we can hope for.

Good wraparound.
A very widely read novelist once began and ended one of his classic works with "The old man was dreaming about the lions."

Interesting comment. My husband was born in Cuba, and always dreamed of lions, which we finally saw together at the Amboseli Game Reserve in Kenya in 1989.

I ate breakfast earlier this morning. Then walked a few miles in downtown Manhattan.
Walking is so good for the heart and it unravels the mind.

I usually walk faster in the City than in other places.

Oh Molly - I wish I could do better with your questions - I did have a good breakfast but did not do any form of exercise unless you count having a bone density test since I did have to climb up on the table under the machine - no? Well other than climbing stairs and doing some housework, I have been writing a blog and checking out email and facebook. Not a very stimulating day as far as excercise goes. Want very badly to do better and start walking. I am watching my diet and have lost some weight but the body has to get moving in conjunction with the diet.

I was five days off the elliptical this morning when I finally made it back on and I am so proud of my continued progress. My brother got my elliptical for Christmas and once I got used to it, I love it. But I really need to work on the breakfast thing.

Those healthy breakfast shakes (dried powder mixed with milk or canned) are wonderful.

Well, I walked a whole lot! Quickly and I'd up the pace and run a bit sometimes.
Diet's great as is (Atkins-type), except for a fattening cocktail I've taken to and I gotta drop that habit. I've learned to cook vegetables in an Italianate style as though they were the main dish, not side dish. Helps!

hhahahahaha. I was just recounting last nite I think, to a commenter, about how David Seaton, would call me--metaphorically of course--from one of his blogs. hahahahahaha. He would say WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?
And of course, I could not ignore it. hhahahahahaha
Q or TheraP would call me over in the same manner. And it would make me laugh. Either one of them would wish me to give an award. hhahhahahahahaa
And of course I would comply. So when I see this from you on my dashboard because I have decided to stay awake............. I laugh. hahhahaa
Am I having an episode? probably.......
hahahhahaah

This gives me an idea! I think I can now go around saying "the hell" about everything. I need to go the hell to the supermarket and prepare dinner, for example. What the hell?
THANKS!

OT, Deacon Day has forgotten that I accused him of being drawn like a moth to the flame. But I meant it in the most positive of terms. Don't tell him, but I lose focus if I have to scroll more than once or twice.

The Deacon I presume is ordained like the C Street maven Senator/Doctor/"Deacon" Coburn?
Only difference is that DD will use his clerical office for good, not for juvenile lovesick letter-writing hijinks. http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/07/08/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5145436.shtml

In my line of work, exercise is not an option. In order to stay competitive with the younguns, I run or use the elliptical 5 times a week, along with the mandatory office regimen of three hours a week. Minus the occasional injury, this has been my lifestyle for nearly five years. But no breakfast. I get nauseous if I eat more than a piece of fruit.

Luckily, the younguns in my workplace don't exercise.

Molly,
We are vacationing out on Cape Code and taking advantage of the great weather this week to walk the beach every morning. It is a great way to combine exercise with appreciating the natural beauty of God's good earth!
Amen,
Gregory
