Good for Jenny. The boys will have as easy a transition as it is possible for them to have, under the circumstances: Sullivan's Island is laid-back and Porter-Gaud is a great school. Family and friends of long duration nearby. Makes more sense to me than remaining in the Columbia goldfish bowl.
I don't think Jenny ever stayed long in Columbia, anyway! I'd prefer Sullivan's island, too.
Yes, Porter-Gaud is a wonderful choice for Charleston's elite but wouldn't it have been a wonderful gesture to send the boys to Moultrie Middle School and Wando High School?
No, wait, the Governor didn't think that pre-K-12 and higher education were worth funding, did he?
Good point; it would have been a nice gesture. But you know they won't do that.....
So the boys all get to start at new schools with the cloud of their father's scandal hanging over them? Wonderful.
Donal -- I think the kids at Porter-Gaud will be known to them from elementary school But I'm not sure of that. Jenny did not go to Washington when His Lordship was in Congress; rather, she kept the home fires burning, which he then turned reflected, not very nicely, by: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNnAvTTaJjM
Maybe you should talk to their Dad about that.
My guess Molly is that they are going to play out this 'reconciliation' game just to try to keep Sanford socially acceptable enough to remain in power. This per the wishes of the pseudo christian mafia that does not give a damn about fidelity, morality etc., just the appearances that allow them to maintain power.
SC is stuck with Sanford, Synch. The Lt. Gov. is not fit. And the legislator who would become Lt. Gov. if the Lt. Gov became Gov. has refused to play along. Sanford is humiliated but stuck.
Molly been missed.
I tend to agree with moat. A farce...
