Sometimes the guests on Meet the Press are earnest but humdrum. This morning, I sat up and noticed Mayor Cory Booker.
In case you don't know Mayor Booker, here is his impressive background, in a nutshell:
"Young Booker earned bachelor's and master's
degrees in 1991 and 1992, both from Stanford University, where he was a
tight end on the football team. He attended Oxford University as a
Rhodes Scholar in 1994. At Oxford Booker became the first non-Jewish
president of the L'Chaim Society after befriending Rabbi Shmuley
Boteach. Booker obtained his law degree from Yale University in 1997,
but shunned law firms and Wall Street for a public fellowship, wanting
to help people in need. He moved to Newark while attending Yale Law
School." "Cory Booker." Biography Resource Center Online. Gale, 2007. Why Cory Booker Likes Being Mayor of Newark
