Devestating Indictment of Republican Congressmen on House Floor
Forget the tea baggers, Alan Grayson is a one man wrecking ball in the house. He has read into the record a list of all the deaths projected from lack of insurance in every single Republican district. I urge you to view it and digg it or what ever to get it out on the internet. It is very emotional to watch him read the name of the Congressman, their state and district followed by the number of dead. It puts into perspective what health care reform is all about.
So while the wingnuts are looking for the whites of your eyes, Grayson is respectfully revealing the true cost. See it here on the Huffington Post

It would be very easy to insure the currently uninsured without the overly complicated bill that's going through Congress. The number I keep hearing is 46 million. Now that probably includes illegals plus young people that probably don't need insurance plus older people that CAN afford it but just choose not to pay for it because they think they don't need it. Let's mandate everyone to sign up for healthcare coverage. And let's use 20 million as a nice round number for how many people truly can't afford it today. Let's give each one of those people $5,000 per year to help pay for insurance. That will cost us $100mm a year. That's roughly what the bills going through Congress will cost and we don't have to create this "public option" nonsense.

20 000 000 X 5 000 = 100 000 000 000 = 100 billion
And I do not see why the 100 million taxpayers should pay an extra 1000 per year for the 20 million uninsured. What else should we buy for them? Cars? Houses? Boats?

Sorry - that was a typo - I meant billion. It comes down to whether you think everyone should have access to healthcare. But I'd really like to know what's the average income for somebody who isn't insured today.

Tell you what. The next time I see you on the side of the road bruised and bloody, I'll be sure to run over you with my car.

I like this guy. Grayson is all right with me.
Compare his research, his oratory to pundits with tenth grade educations and illiterates like bachman or palin....

Why would the GOP worry their empty little heads over a few thousand American dead? That never seemed to effect their support for the Wars in Iraq Afghanistan?
