Lie Down with Dogs...

(Crossposted at DemProgress)

Sometimes in the dense political landscape, choices are difficult to make. Who really is the best Democrat? Who is the better person? Who would I want sitting at my table over Sunday dinner? Who's the good guy?

Sometimes, the choices make themselves, based not on the issues but who a candidate chooses to surround himself with (sorry, Dan), the tone he takes, and the kind of people who support him. In other words, sometimes I am not sure who I should be for, but I always damn sure know the kind of people I'm against.

Lamont was tooling around with that racist Jane Hamsher, he quits his white-guys-are-us country club to be politically correct, he stands and speaks against WalMart when he's profiting from your every purchase with 51K in stock, he turns in his Lexus so he can be seen driving a hybrid.

How much of a false-face can you stand? He's a fake and he's hasn't got the experience for the job--unless you want to count two years as a selectman when he sided with republicans on oh-my-god! potholes. Now that's just great experience! Let's call accustaff in and have him do a resume!

Sorry, but potholes and tax loops for himself and his friends just don't cut it.

Buy a facade but don't be suprised when you find nothing behind it.

You must be speaking for the crowd, since you know perfectly well that I am aware of how distorted everything you're saying is. Either that, or you really believe this nonsense.

"Tools around with racist Jane Hamsher..." Oh, bull. You know that I jumped on her harder than probably anyone in the blogosphere for that trick, but calling her a racist? Blaming Lamont for her? Keep preaching to the choir, because you'll never convince anyone but your fellow koolaid-drinkers with arguments like this.

Once again, all you can do is try to change the subject. You're just not an honest debater; you don't know how to have an honest discussion. So I hope you'll excuse me if I more or less give up on you.

Thanks for help making my point. Lieberman supporters are just so... Republican.

Would that the average politician had the character of the average dog. Yes, of the seven where I'm staying, Lily will manipulate and smirk whenever she has the chance.

I rather like the idea of alpha-rolling politicians.

Now, as to lying down with cats, and hopefully I'll get my own back soon. Tiger may be channeling Rush Limbaugh, although I'm enough of a "cat whisperer" to get him to be somewhat responsible. My alpha, Mr. Clark, is the epitome of responsibility -- and the steel fist in the furry paw. He's recently developed an sound, addressed to large dogs, that means "is it actually going to be necessary for me to hiss, or are you abandoning your plot? And if I have to hiss, and that isn't enough, your nose will remember it for a long, long time."

She was his driver, she promtoes him and raises money for him, so it's hard to dissasociate the two. I'm not changing the subject, but you are the one looking through a narrow focus. If you lay down with swine you get smeared by their filth. Period.
