What the heck is up with the Congressional Black Caucus?

Aren't they following the Jefferson story? Is it really going to become necessary to slap down the entire Congressional Black Caucus because they refuse to stop covering up for an outrageously corrupt politician who happens to have the same albedo?

Because make no mistake, if they keep this up, that is absolutely what is called for. I'm well aware of the importance of the black vote to Democrats; I'm much more aware that standing up for our principles is even more important. If you stand with criminals, you go down right alongside them.

Their refusal to go along with making Jefferson stand down is downright suspicious. I understand about solidarity but this is going way too far. Is it time to throw some investigations their way?

We are Democrats. We don't stand for corruption for long. Time for the CBC to shut up and quit siding with a criminal.
