obama-mccain debate on comedy central

Though I don't think it likely I am hoping for at least one good debate during the GE. I think Jon Stewart would be much better than any moderator we are likely to see.
Does anyone have any idea how to push to make it happen? Or can someone suggest a better moderator?

where can I find a candidate how will treat the gas tax the way I think it should be?

every month increase the tax by a nickel/gallon. Cap it so that the price of gas is never more than 50% tax. Put the money into various energy(non fossil) and transport(rail) projects needed for a country using less oil.

leaked sheet revisited

As an exercise i just looked back at the 2/6 leaked obama speadsheet.

contest, total delegates, projected obama delegates, actual obama result minus projected

thoughts:
1. the estimates have been very good.
2. the estimates give a 67 delegate win to obama and he has out performed them.
3. It looks to me like the nomination was won in the potomac primaries.

projected that iowa adds 8 more

7 more to Obama in second round of iowa caucus
+1 bonus likely now that he has the majority.

I wonder if it isn't going to be clearly over before PA?

who is running against Rep. Steve King (R-IA) that i can donate money to?

hopefully a baker's dozen

vt makes 12 blowouts in a row.

a case against uber-tuesday

Feb 3: Clinton 41%, Obama 41%

a Go player's analogy

In another life, before job, religion, and family were important, I was obsessed with the game of go. If you haven't studied go at least a little bit, I expect you will find my thought gibberish.

I
believe how one plays go is insightful to at least one's intelligence,
if not their character. And Obama would be a much better go player than
Clinton.

Clinton's go personality:
She is a strong tactical fighter. But she tries to win with hamete
(plagiarism claims ...) and plays her stones heavily (i.e.big state,
all in). She destroys weak opponents. She is not the most fun to play
against. Her style of play is more Korean.

Obama's go personality:
He plays a large Moyo
strategy(i.e. 50state). He playes lightly, and is hard to force him
into a tactical fight. He lets the little stuff go, his strategy to is
to handily beat, not crush. His opponents will be able to save face.
His play is Japanese.

Tactics vs Strategy:

While a knowledge of tactics are needed to play, a good strategist can
repeatedly make tactical concessions locally, but make up for it with
strategic vision. A strong president should focus on strategy, not tactics.

recommend (yes / no / troll)

I don't mind looking at posts that i disagree with, but reading trolls is a waste of time. Combine being able to mark posts, with being able to filter and we have a better system.

Why is there a large gender difference in who shows to vote?

on another thread it was suggested that 58.5% of dem primary voters so far have been women. why?
1. old people vote more. old men are more likely to be dead?
2. women take voting more seriously?
3. dames are more likely to be dems?
4. women are more excited about current candidates?

me vs we

Just a pet peeve of mine.
When a leader takes credit for something using the first person, where the third person is more accurate.
I think it says alot about a person. and limits how effectively they can work with people that don't agree with them on every detail.
That said, I think it is quite clear which candidate is a 'we' sayer, and which is a 'me' sayer.
