I suppose I'm not the only one to notice that DD (or Arthur, as I lovingly refer to him) hasn't been here for a couple of days...

Maybe his son came to treat him to a new computer system? I remember him saying that his was a really old, crappy refurb (I'm picturing something just slightly better than win95). I know he had no sound and could not see video very well. Maybe his son saw how much he was enjoying his little used box and decided to take him out and splurge?
Ahh it is a nice thought anyway.
Of course it was the holiday weekend as well. Maybe he went out of town. I think we can cut people some slack for not checking in when they are on vaca.

I'm torn here SI... The double entendre, creates too many logical and some macabre neural pathways through which I can evaluate the question, for me to even guess as to how to respond. Okay, just as an update here, folks....I caved in to the worry going on and called three local hospitals in Dick's hometown. All of them were very kind but none had him.
I then tried the local police station but it seems they are all on voicemail. Must be a pretty darn peaceful town, LOL....
I left my name and number with the local authorities asking for a call back if they have any information on a certain rattled old atty.
I have a feeling all is well, and that our Dickon is simply getting a new PC. If I hear anything different, I will post here.
Please do not worry so.....sometimes people disappear for days on end, but that's not a bad thing.
Just means we are more grateful than ever when they come back.

FYI...Just heard from the man! His computer crashed. He will try to post from the library tomorrow if there is anything left of h after I beat him for scaring us to death...I am standing on the corner 1/2 a mile from my house where there is a break in the ridge and I can get a signal and am typing on an iPhone keyboard just so u can quit worrying.
